The internet really is devoid of creative people now

I remember the old internet used to be people making a bunch of comics and games and organized info archives, or showing off their weird mad science projects like diy flamethrowers or turning their toaster into a crude WiFi antenna

Then the commentariat arrived and slowly expanded

Now today's internet is just a bunch of people trading pithy comments on message boards while big companies try to sell them stuff

Even blogging and writing all these articles is only half a step back towards those times as those posts are just higher effort forum comments posted away from the forum

The old internet will only have returned when some darknet guys post videos showing that their 3d printed drone can distinguish white people from POCs at 100 yards reliably in all lighting conditions

That's probably what bothers me so much about the internet now, the fact that so many retards do not do anything but comment on things others did while feeling smart about it
