have them take it out into somewhere private and natural

priest wears wizard robes and gives a scathing speech on why the thing they made an effigy of is horrible and destroying the earth and Gaia is grieved

then they burn it while chanting

then everyone does drugs and has a big orgie

how is that not the same as old paganism
