To be fair you have to have a really high IQ to understand real socialism.The ideology is extremely subtle and without a solid grasp of Marx and Hegel most of the policies will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Bernie's civil outlook, which is deftly personofied in his works- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Kantian literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of this system, to realise that it works as more than an idea- it says somethind deep about HUMAN NATURE. As a consequence people who dislike socialism truly ARE slaves- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the genius in Bernie's catchphrase "Feel the Bern," which is itself a cryptic reference to Rousseau's classic comedy Narcissus. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Marx's genius unfolds itself on their campaign promotions. What fools... how I pity them.
