oh well past is the past. Let's not think back on it all the time like lefties do.
And France
I mean you didn't really put up much of a
Wait.
???
How could 1950s Britain go up against America ffs?
The United States allied with the Soviet Union against Britain?
When did this happen?
The US and Soviet Union were enemies as soon as 3 years after the war ended given the first Soviet nuke test.
That was the event that killed the British empire
I mean.
WW2 effectively killed the British Empire.
oh well, shit happens I guess.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
so Britain was too weak to maintain its Empire?
K.
We lost a hell of a lot of money, so the vast majority of our funding went to us and not our empire.
I mean, that's how the world works.
Look at France
Look at Germany
Hell, look at Italy.
We were more than capable of maintaining our empires
It may not have been "the reason", but it was definetely the domino falling that started the chain reaction.
America was instrumental in dismantling the empire
I mean Empires just was not going to last, too much land to keep hold on, too many differing cultures and ethnicities, too many different languages and traditions etc, etc, etc.
All once homes of great empires that no longer exist.
And now we are left with nothing
>more than capable of maintaining our empire
We are told that Britain itself is a relic of the Empire
That would imply you were capable of dealing with anything that could prevent you from maintaining the empire
That we are a nation of immigrants
Well, that's what happens when socialists come into power.
And that we are at the behest of a global community of non-whites that wished us ill
I agree, Attlee started this
Salute and drink tea lads.
The collapse of the British Empire does not have anything to do with the ultimate cause of Britain being so minimal a player in the world.
