i got twin 1080tis in my personal computer/main system
I don't have firestrike
just look up reference scores
ugh
no
@.PunishedShlomo i havent messed with it. from what i understand its just a custom build of ubuntu - not designed specifically for mining
I went on an overclocking run and I got a pretty good balance between temps, but it had crashed so I went back by 4mhz on the core and 8 on the memory.
what was your memory at?
over stock
im still waiting for jewgle to release quantum core processors and that architecture. itll be hard af to even get ahold of one but im ready to buy.
quantum CPU's require extreme cooling
well, stock speeds are 1366 on the core, 3505 on the memory, I got the core to 1450, got the memory to 3628
not because fo power draw/heat it's because they can't function properly without it
980 at 1450 is pretty high
I know, I was surprised
dropped off after 1460
but honestly, lowering that to 1425MHz for the stability exchange wont hurt at all
gonna stress test it all of tomorrow and see
not even 2% difference
yeahhhhhh
so you're wasting time lol
I might :^)
just do 1425 core and 3600 mem and be done with it
1425 is already like
over 17% reference stock clock
not factory clock
for non-reference
I got 6384 on FSE, which is pretty good for a 980
GTX 980 Engine Specs:
2048
CUDA Cores
1126
Base Clock (MHz)
1216
Boost Clock (MHz)
the card came at 1366 boost
and it ran nice and cool
1270 base
relative to stock card boost you, get just over 17% higher freq with 1425mhz
just leave it there and be done with it
and 3600 on mem
I will, just gotta figure out what voltage it's happy at
you're manually changing voltage for your GPU?
yeah, Precision XOC
If you're going over highest auto-voltage, then you are degrading the card faster, it will barely do shit, but also voids warranty
