You have much more of a performance-excellence gradiant with Intel CPUs playing vidya, from physics-intensive games to sandbox top-downs and simulators.
Ryzen can not and will not compete with Intel on games like Arma, Squad, Insurgency, anything with background physics-intensive computation and multiple instances of heavy load processing
I will admit that Ryzen has much more competitive performances in vidya with more assets applied at once, especially in DirectX12 games.
But it’s still not worth it if the 8700k beats it or ties with it anyways in the competitive spectrum and other.

@Polygon Lmao just checked prices of i7 8086K in my country and of the R5 2600X (both unlocked, turbo boost enabled 6 core CPUs) and I can buy nearly 3 2600Xs for the price of one 8086K lmao
that's because they're limited edition, I picked mine up for $395 USD, a 2600X here costs $220 USD
