usually between 5-6 million
if you use the ones on this website you get a european jewish population decline of 5.7 million
between 1939 and 1945
Korherr talks about Jewish emigration in this report
before 1941 when it was forbidden
well he talks about it until 1943 but says that it "ceased almost completely" in 1941 when it was prohibited
Those numbers are based off a Jew's estimates, not census reports.
and they're lower still than the German's own estimates
I'm trying to find the sources now
I showed other estimate reports. I don't see how you're refuting them kek.
that estimate is quite a bit lower than others
and also for an earlier year than others
So you're telling me a historically low birthrate group magically shat out millions of babies in the 4 year difference? @agag
Linfield's estimate of 15.0 million Jews worldwide is much lower than other estimates because of how much earlier it is
1939 estimate from the American Jewish Yearbook is 16.1 million
jewish virtual library gives 16.7 million
"On the basis of the latest available authoritative sources, the total number of Jews in the world is here estimated at 16,180,000"
this is another one that's even higher
@agag You see how only the Jewish sources are the one putting those figures that high?
Can you not connect the two dots?
the document you link is from the same publication
it is as Jewish a source
look at the urls
harry s linfield was a rabbi
in fact the least kosher source sofar has been the one from the Nazis
which is even higher
Let's make the assumption then of the higher number. You're telling me that a reduction of 16 something million to 11 something million between an extended period of war lasting 7 years and persecution of 13 years resulted in less than the total loss of the supposed 6 million? Let's take the low ball number then. Say 5 million were explicitly killed by the Germans. This leaves no room for 1. suicides 2. sickness 3. war fatalities 5. natural causes 6. crime or any other factors in any other nations of a historically low birthrate group to have net lose. @agag
Tens of millions of people died, and you're telling me that these deaths have no bearing on the pre and post war estimates of the Jewish population worldwide, let alone Europe?
@Kierketard It's not persecution of 13 years since these are numbers from 1939
it's only 6 years
and most of that began in 1942 with Wannsee
it includes deaths from sicknesses too
the claim is not and never has been that 5-6 million Jews were gassed
not all of them died in the death camps
it includes death in the concentration camps and the millions killed by the Einsatzgruppen
