You imbue it into yourself.
And it purifies you.
This is Bhakti
devotional worship
saying that because you dont know what perfect is that you shouldnt try is stupid
^
no human knows what the perfect life is but most of us try to improve daily
it's clearly not squalor
you're incapable of purifying yourself in this life
but nor is it wealth
the idea of worshipping anything makes me feel uneasy
that's pride
*feel
only through God's grace are we even capable of freely choosing to follow Him
unless you're a stink calvinist
This is why I believe Christ was divine. He teaches you this, even within the malevolent auspices of the jewish theology predating his.
in which case you can't freely choose at all
probably due to how your life has been so far
pride?
in what
that you can rely on yourself better than the being you would worship
He does through His Church
the Church has the authority to bind or loose sins
but original sin is constant
until after the Resurrection you will be stained by it
what's the point of a test if the teacher passes you in the middle of it and gives you the reward before it's over
@agag The 3 threads of nature are: sattvic, rajasic, tamasic. The state of purity/goodness, passion, ignorance/evil.
no, no man can live a sinful life
even after becoming faithful
im not saying im better than anyone, i'm just saying the thought of worshipping something, anything at all, seems like a scary thought to me
To understand natural law is to understand how these interplay.
we are all corrupt
reverence of an unchanging ideal is the core of faith
I have aspergers, and part of that comes with an intense feeling of not wanting to feel like im being controlled
so
worship seems scary to me
really? Do you think that after you become faithful you'll never look on a woman with lust? Or commit any other sort of sin?
i dont get aspergers
@agag Your OT Yahweh is characterized by passion and at times viciousness. But Jesus Christ never acts out of passion. Only once really in the temple where he whips money changers, but that was entirely just.
you can't live a sinful life in this world
