Hmm
It isn’t specifically stated who he was referring to as small republics
I honestly wanna go back to Dual Federalism
Too bad somehow it all changed
<:PepeIntrastain:482328467829030961>
why?
there are benefits to having states conform to federal standards
fortnite <:bugman:416588250426114049>
There are also disadvantages
Very big disadvantages
Like how Schools are fucked up rn, in general
Idk if anyone still does common core
But in general, it’s not good
all the feds really do to the school system is say "fine, you can have some funds, but you're going to test these kids"
I just read The Constitution, itself states in Article IV, Section 4, declares: "The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government.” Obviously the Framers were not speaking of a political party, as no political parties existed at that time. The Pledge of Allegiance, although not a founding document, does strike the right chord when it asks Americans to "pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands"
Yes
I could not find democracy one time on it
Of course
We know this
Your point?
The democracy boy over here says it’s America’s government
But USA clearly goes by the law not the majority of people
He never said the US was a democracy
@LiT potato the fuck is that yellow car on
Speed?
You defend this?
yes
@Living The Dream 🍀 lemme explain myself
I expected more from you.
You didn’t even let me explain
Don’t rush to conclusions
Anyways
I AM EPIB
The United States government is modeled after a republic, a form of representative/indirect democracy in where the people do not vote directly but instead use their voice to be exemplified and to be better in the true interest of the nation through elected representatives, anything other than that is added layers to the governmental cake. Our constitution lays out special checks and balances to our “Republic” to make it different to a traditional small republic some nations have had, but instead a large republic founded upon the idea of Federalism, as opposed to a confederation or a unitary system in where the states and central government co-exist and work together to better and maintain the nation. Our constitution highlights that we are a republic in that section, yes, but other sections and even articles details rules and regulations that makes us different to any other.
America is big epic
In short, we have the people’s position in government under a republic limited by constitutional laws that detail us on having a federal system of government to prevent a majority faction from forming along with preserving the welfare of the nation
god bless the american flag
@agag appreciate the pill even though we have different opinions
you said it exactly right
