Stuff like colour into color was actually done to reduce the number of characters for printing, to reduce printing costs
Ether looks like a typo and you tried to spell other
why are you guys arguing about this
@Syntax it was done to separate the newly founded America from its British roots
I wouldn’t call this an argument
Just a discussion
k
No, a lot of words got changed to reduce printing costs apparently
But it actually does annoy me a lot when people seem to think English is for Americans...
It was decided by Noah Webster
He wanted America to not be associated with Britain but to be it's own entity
Which also makes me blame America on a lot of the genocide that went on in America, instead of blaming Britain
And all the slave trade
As far as I’m concerned, what happened in America stays on America
It's interesting how they've whitewashed the genocide through the scapegoat of infectious disease.
Infectious disease is a big issue in immigration
One I’ll have to worry about in maybe 3 years time
That came out of nowhere
What did?
We were talking about dictionaries
And now it's genocides
Blame is stupid
I wasn't there
There is nobody alive to blame
Just testing out discords chat rooms. You mentioned genocide thought I'd throw out my two cents. I'm assuming this is just typical chatbots or?
No swearing
I don’t know what went on in America, all I know is that now there’s a new group of people that call themselves Americans and all the native Americans seem to be dead so I’d say that the new “Americans” are the cause
And no, this is not chatbots
Cause of what?
I do have a self learning chatbot of my own creation though but I haven’t made that work on discord
As a historian i blame ideas for things happening
Not groups of people
I’d say whatever the new “Americans” did is probably why there are no more of the “old Americans”
I don’t hate people for it
As well as geographic consequences
You're a historian eh
I’m not a historian, nor do I have interest in it so I’m not even really fit to talk about this topic
Fair enough
In history you learn blame games are counterproductive
I’m good at programming, science and maths and that’s about it
Yea the Americans systematically annihilated the natives, in my mind through superior knowledge of chemistry... which they used to poison the natives to death on a massive scale.
