then thats fine if theyre into that

2019-04-12 18:16:37 UTC

@Joel So it's forbidden to teach anything that deviates from the curriculum at your university, correct?

2019-04-12 18:16:51 UTC

JOEL BASED

2019-04-12 18:16:52 UTC

Well yes, You are being paid to teach that and nothing else.

2019-04-12 18:17:28 UTC

University teaches you how to pass the exams, If you don't teach your students what they need to know to do that, You are not teaching them.

2019-04-12 18:17:52 UTC

So if you taught your students radius of the Earth has never been measured not has the circumference, Eratosthenes sticks and shadows experiment made no account for up curving refraction and assumed an infininte distance sun, you taught that there's zero scientific method experimental evidence of changing mass to change an accelerative field... would you keep your job?

2019-04-12 18:18:30 UTC

@Joel If I tried to work at your university and I taught that Microwave ovens use 2.4GHz and mobile cell phones also use 2.4GHz and radiation damage is cumulative, would I keep my job?

2019-04-12 18:18:36 UTC

Sorry, can i ask what you mean by "infinite distance sun"?

2019-04-12 18:18:50 UTC

No as that is not what you would be paid to teach.

2019-04-12 18:18:52 UTC

wafflin

2019-04-12 18:18:55 UTC

waffle

2019-04-12 18:19:14 UTC

You would be paid to teach about Microwave ovens, not phones.

2019-04-12 18:19:31 UTC

So yes, You would loose your job if you did that, as that is not the curriculum.

2019-04-12 18:19:45 UTC

@Joel If I showed people GMO foods are causing tumours in rats and you shouldn't buy Monsanto Seeds at an Agricultural faculty that likely gets grants from Monsanto, would I be allowed to keep my job?

2019-04-12 18:20:09 UTC

No as that's not in any subjects curriculum?

2019-04-12 18:20:32 UTC

You would loose your job once again as you failed to teach what you have been paid to teach.

2019-04-12 18:20:34 UTC

monsanto is known to be bad

2019-04-12 18:20:40 UTC

@Joel If I was at a business school and I taught that the Federal Reserve is privately owned and issues junk debt as currency, would I be allowed to keep my job?

2019-04-12 18:21:30 UTC

2019-04-12 18:23:08 UTC

@Joel If I was at a computer science school that got grants from Sun, Microsoft, Oracle and I taught the ways of open source software like BSD or Arch Linux and encouraged people to use git-hub and contribute to free software, would I be allowed to keep my job?

2019-04-12 18:23:23 UTC

Yes

2019-04-12 18:23:57 UTC

Dose not matter where the school got funding from, Your job is to teach them.

2019-04-12 18:24:14 UTC

Also, Computer Science degrees are HEAVILY subjective.

2019-04-12 18:24:20 UTC
