I believe it gives women freedom. If it is done before the child has a heart beat it doesn't bring pain

2019-04-15 15:38:09 UTC

Putting a child up for adoption can make the child have a traumatic childhood

2019-04-15 15:38:20 UTC

only if its a child

2019-04-15 15:38:26 UTC

babies usually get adopted pretty quick

2019-04-15 15:38:41 UTC

Yes that is true but u are still ending a life

2019-04-15 15:39:03 UTC

Not really the life has not been created if it doesn't have a heart beat

2019-04-15 15:40:40 UTC

I mean no doubt the child is unborn and likely no pain is felt or any function but they could be high functioning members of society

2019-04-15 15:41:18 UTC

i know its 9 months of unwanted baby but there are plenty of infertile/gay couples out there waiting to adopt children so why not just let it be?

2019-04-15 15:41:36 UTC

Exactly

2019-04-15 15:41:39 UTC

Adoption costs money and takes time

2019-04-15 15:41:57 UTC

Plus the child could also be bad for society

2019-04-15 15:42:11 UTC

Or more likely to not matter in society as a total

2019-04-15 15:42:20 UTC

life always matters dude

2019-04-15 15:42:39 UTC

Anyone infertile would be willing to pay enough money

2019-04-15 15:42:44 UTC

yup

2019-04-15 15:43:06 UTC

And with the right parents they can be taught right from wrong

2019-04-15 15:43:34 UTC

If the child doesn't get adopted the it will be put in a foster home where it's life would be bad.

2019-04-15 15:43:55 UTC

again, babies are almost always adopted straight away

2019-04-15 15:44:05 UTC

there are a lot of people on waiting lists for them

2019-04-15 15:44:23 UTC

its the already damaged 5y olds that dont get adopted

2019-04-15 15:44:35 UTC

For example my aunt adopted 5 kids from different ages and they r amazing religious and kind kids

2019-04-15 15:45:05 UTC

Actually only 62 percent of babies are actually adopted

2019-04-15 15:45:43 UTC

Those are babies put up for adoption that are actually adopted

2019-04-15 15:46:10 UTC

thats not a bad percentage. Especially when you consider that the others are in foster care. It might not be the best place

2019-04-15 15:46:19 UTC

but I would definitely choose being alive and poor than dead

2019-04-15 15:46:33 UTC

38% of babies could live an awful life

2019-04-15 15:46:38 UTC

could

2019-04-15 15:46:39 UTC

or

2019-04-15 15:46:40 UTC

no life?

2019-04-15 15:47:05 UTC

Without life no one can determine what they could become

2019-04-15 15:47:16 UTC

I am not saying that all mom's should get an abortion. Abortion also sort of solves overpopulation

2019-04-15 15:47:31 UTC

@Kat Looking at statistics from adoption websites, about 60% of children are put into adoption within a month of birth, however, on average, most children are adopted after 2-5 years, about 11% more than 5 years.

2019-04-15 15:47:34 UTC

the attitude with abortion atm is kind of gross though

2019-04-15 15:47:55 UTC

regardless on your stance i don't think it's something to act proud of

2019-04-15 15:48:01 UTC

Currently, only about 2% of the American population has ever adopted

2019-04-15 15:48:20 UTC

That isn't high

2019-04-15 15:48:39 UTC

Well, darn thats not high

2019-04-15 15:48:56 UTC

but even not being adopted doesnt cut it as a good reason to abort for me

2019-04-15 15:49:14 UTC

You could have a miserable life

2019-04-15 15:49:18 UTC

And suffer

2019-04-15 15:49:19 UTC

And adoption rates have gone down by 50% since 2007 due to restrictions
