every 2 miles, lets pretend you check your compass to make sure youre going east

2019-04-20 22:25:20 UTC

i dont need a compass im going to travel toward the sunrise

2019-04-20 22:25:26 UTC

which is east

2019-04-20 22:25:39 UTC

pretend youre not, and you are using a compass

2019-04-20 22:25:50 UTC

I'm not sure what you're getting at with this

2019-04-20 22:25:52 UTC

pretend im not what

2019-04-20 22:26:10 UTC

🗿

2019-04-20 22:26:12 UTC

idk im tryin to figure out how it works traveling east

2019-04-20 22:26:23 UTC

he says u wont end up at the equator i think u will

2019-04-20 22:26:38 UTC

If you keep going north then yeah

2019-04-20 22:26:50 UTC

noone said north

2019-04-20 22:26:54 UTC

pretend you travel east, all the way around the earth, from New York City, and every 10 miles you check the compass to make sure youe are traveling east

2019-04-20 22:26:55 UTC

why did u say north

2019-04-20 22:27:01 UTC

nope

2019-04-20 22:27:22 UTC

will you reach the equator?

2019-04-20 22:27:24 UTC

im traveling east toward the sunrise when it rises east for everyone at the equator

2019-04-20 22:27:35 UTC

There are different ways of explaining it. The celestial equator always intersects with the horizon at east and west as an arc except for at the "poles", so the sun crossing that would rise east and set west.

2019-04-20 22:27:37 UTC

ur saying if i go east i dont end up at the equator

2019-04-20 22:27:41 UTC

Only traveling east won't get you to the equator

2019-04-20 22:27:55 UTC

i think youre wrong

2019-04-20 22:28:03 UTC

i think going east takes u to the equator

2019-04-20 22:28:09 UTC

I don't think you would on either model

2019-04-20 22:28:16 UTC

u have to go north east to circumnavigate back to newyork

2019-04-20 22:28:25 UTC

im jsut talkin about the globe

2019-04-20 22:28:45 UTC

Lets say youre traveling by following the sunset. if youre following the sunrise on earth, you will not be traveling east the whole trip. if you saw a comapass while you following the rising sun, you would travel east only at the very start of your trip

2019-04-20 22:28:53 UTC

2 days a year the sun rises east for everyone and on those days the sun rises at the equator we all agree on this fact right ?

2019-04-20 22:29:09 UTC

from sun rise to noon, the sun will slowly move constantly from east to south

2019-04-20 22:29:30 UTC

so as you traeling towards it, you will travel that way as will

2019-04-20 22:29:34 UTC

just hang on

2019-04-20 22:30:04 UTC

2 days a year the sun rises east for everyone on earth regardless of your location and at the moment of sunrise the sun is located at the equator is this a fact

2019-04-20 22:30:04 UTC

so if you circumnavigated from new york, you would never reach the equator

2019-04-20 22:30:21 UTC

yea, but sun rise is only one moment

2019-04-20 22:30:26 UTC

for everyone on earth

2019-04-20 22:30:36 UTC

you can not travel sunrise all day

2019-04-20 22:30:44 UTC

Kek

2019-04-20 22:30:55 UTC

no, hes asking a good question

2019-04-20 22:31:19 UTC

most people dont even ask these questions

2019-04-20 22:31:30 UTC

ok

2019-04-20 22:31:54 UTC

can i freeze everything and travel to the sun east ill be at the equator

2019-04-20 22:32:02 UTC

what if i could travel very fast

2019-04-20 22:32:03 UTC

yes
