Big guy, you have to realize that most people are probably NPCs, no matter which way you decide to look. That doubles for those who are so-called "commies" on "leftypol".

2018-10-18 08:22:42 UTC

Even if you meet even one person who has views in that direction, you should still keep your eye on the prize. This is quite literally a war of ideas, and despite how down to earth any of them might seem they are still lost souls. Don't stray from the righteous path, my guy @Inquisitor of this Flavortown

2018-10-18 08:24:39 UTC

@2ndComing Say whatever you wish. You are the one who appears to be on drugs, and has been blaspheming God.

2018-10-18 08:30:49 UTC

@Inquisitor of this Flavortown You're reading Aquinas before Augustine. Why is that?

2018-10-18 08:31:17 UTC

Not that it truly matters, but I don't believe that is the typical order

2018-10-18 08:31:22 UTC

2018-10-18 08:31:34 UTC

2018-10-18 08:38:05 UTC

But a note on Aquinas though:
Keep in mind while reading his works that he is, by and large, attempting to reconcile the philosophical/metaphysical traditions of Plato & Aristotle with that of God and the teachings of Christ. There is a lot of Logic in his works.

Plus, he gets to saying in his works something along the lines of "Grace perfects nature." This phrase, and the ideas behind it are quite heavy concepts. I would say that you can consider yourself well versed in the ideals of Aquinas when you can confidently, and precisely describe what is meant by "Grace perfects nature."
