I had some discussion with an Eritrean refugee last time. he explained to me that he was lodged and feed for free and that he couldn't do anything else and he was feeling guilty because of that.

he can't even do volunteering or work as a part time, etc to sustain to his and his family living expense because they are "illegals"

they have no visa because the gov is taking their long ass shit time to recognize the situation

I mean, they are illegals not because they don't have the right to be here, but because the gov is taking over 2 years to deliver them a paper to says that they are refugees

yeah I know you're kidding, but the situations is really complex, and again, it's just because the administration is taking too long to do their jobs

they are taking their sweet time to do something they have to do, because it's not important for them.

Well anyways I've heard that jobs are scarce

and at the same time, there are jobs that needs more effectives

in many fields, agriculture, medical (especially caregiver, we recruits spanish, etc)

and in administrations too

it's a complex mess

and those people didn't deserved to be treated like that

they would much rather wait a couple of month and start to work or at least do some voluntering to contribute back
