they might be trying to convinve him first
Or whatever the length is
you can de escalate a situation without electricity
I think that failed when he started chasing the cops
Bludgeoned
whatever his weapon was
Right when he advanced they should have tased
It takes time to unholster and use a taser
Moving away to get prepared is what you do
maybe they tried to, you can miss a taser
True
The guy that used it was far away
So that's why the others ran
Not every officer carries them
their safety would be ensured the moment he falls to the ground. The 6 foot rule or whatever it is called (I don't know either) is irrelevant if someone already has a taser or other weapon out, and if they didn't, then that is bad. If they want to negotiate then they should do so in court
what the fuck are you? an american cop?
Yeah negotiate after you've shot him?
Yes, regarding his sentence Dune
;)
Most black shooting happen in poor inner city's where crime is rampant and the shit those cops deal with is crazy
Yeah poor NYC
The media just blows thing out of preportion
fake news
just like the original gif
I don't advocate for shooting people in the lung or the head, just for neutralizing threats. A bullet through the foot or a zap aren't neccessarily lethal. If someone rushes at a cop with the intent to kill and gets killed as a result, it is fair game imo
the attacker gets a taste of his own medicine, so to speak
you assume it is easy to just shoot someone non lethally
it's not
this isn't an action movie
Chaos, can you explain these difficulties?
shoot a moving target in the foot
try it
in the situation where they are rushing you or there is something else going on
it's an incredibly simplified and naive approach you are taking
also tasers are probably not as reliable as you think
the answer is you couldn't rogue
It has happened, many times. And shooting people is not just blam blam dead like a fucking action film.
No it isn't
10+ officers should have no problem hitting a leg or two, and if the target tries to attack, as I said, I hope they get a taste of their own medicine. neither the video nor image showed anything else going on. I agree that you shouldn't do it where it isn't applicable, but judging from the video nothing would have happened if any of the officers fired, the man did not move very fast besides at two or three points in the clip. I wouldn't see this method of approach failing in that specific case.
Unless, of course, the officers decided to fire at a bad time, which is their fault
