The media just blows thing out of preportion

2017-01-03 19:22:57 UTC

fake news

2017-01-03 19:23:04 UTC

just like the original gif

2017-01-03 19:25:49 UTC

I don't advocate for shooting people in the lung or the head, just for neutralizing threats. A bullet through the foot or a zap aren't neccessarily lethal. If someone rushes at a cop with the intent to kill and gets killed as a result, it is fair game imo

2017-01-03 19:26:05 UTC

the attacker gets a taste of his own medicine, so to speak

2017-01-03 19:26:16 UTC

you assume it is easy to just shoot someone non lethally

2017-01-03 19:26:26 UTC

it's not

2017-01-03 19:26:33 UTC

this isn't an action movie

2017-01-03 19:27:37 UTC

Chaos, can you explain these difficulties?

2017-01-03 19:27:52 UTC

shoot a moving target in the foot

2017-01-03 19:27:54 UTC

try it

2017-01-03 19:28:14 UTC

in the situation where they are rushing you or there is something else going on

2017-01-03 19:28:35 UTC

it's an incredibly simplified and naive approach you are taking

2017-01-03 19:29:40 UTC

also tasers are probably not as reliable as you think

2017-01-03 19:31:35 UTC

the answer is you couldn't rogue

2017-01-03 19:33:16 UTC

It has happened, many times. And shooting people is not just blam blam dead like a fucking action film.

2017-01-03 19:33:33 UTC

No it isn't

2017-01-03 19:36:06 UTC

10+ officers should have no problem hitting a leg or two, and if the target tries to attack, as I said, I hope they get a taste of their own medicine. neither the video nor image showed anything else going on. I agree that you shouldn't do it where it isn't applicable, but judging from the video nothing would have happened if any of the officers fired, the man did not move very fast besides at two or three points in the clip. I wouldn't see this method of approach failing in that specific case.

2017-01-03 19:36:42 UTC

Unless, of course, the officers decided to fire at a bad time, which is their fault

2017-01-03 19:36:45 UTC

I'm telling you that expecting resolution by some convenient method of takedown that also is non lethal is idiotic. These situations are not as simple as just taze them or shoot them in the foot. In practicality it is not reasonable to do such things with perfect confidence and a good outcome. Tasers are not the most reliable weapons either just so you know. It's fucking stupid of you two to criticise cops for being careful, why the fuck should they be pointlessly gungho to use force on the man at risk to themselves.

2017-01-03 19:38:24 UTC

you criticised them for quickly moving away from the guy

2017-01-03 19:39:27 UTC

it looked dumb, you are going to have to give better reason than that. If that's your problem then who gives a fuck

2017-01-03 19:39:36 UTC

10+ officers having no problem

2017-01-03 19:39:41 UTC

yea

2017-01-03 19:39:47 UTC

but that means 10+ officers are all discharging weapons

2017-01-03 19:39:55 UTC

what happens when most hit

2017-01-03 19:39:55 UTC

if they all shoot him at the same time it will somehow work out

2017-01-03 19:40:09 UTC

it's fucking idiotic

2017-01-03 19:40:34 UTC

this is in reply to alibaba

2017-01-03 19:40:53 UTC

you can fire in sequence

2017-01-03 19:41:01 UTC

yeah and in the heat of someone charging

2017-01-03 19:41:08 UTC

you're gonna have everyone orderly?

2017-01-03 19:41:09 UTC

yes, that is possible

2017-01-03 19:41:19 UTC

Yeah let's make a firing squad in 5 seconds

2017-01-03 19:41:24 UTC

lol dude, you live in fucking fantasy land

2017-01-03 19:41:39 UTC

If that is taught to be the standard procedure then yes, they will be orderly

2017-01-03 19:41:51 UTC

There's your problem

2017-01-03 19:41:58 UTC

Shooting someone is not standard procedure

2017-01-03 19:42:03 UTC

It shouldn't have to be

2017-01-03 19:42:25 UTC

and again, I don't agree

2017-01-03 19:43:51 UTC

Also very few British police carry guns
