There is one thing I like about MGS3: the Groznyj Grad was visually pleasing. Same goes with that area where you have to wear the lab suit as a disguise. That area had a cool urban look to it.
Also I like the washed out look MGS3 has in general. I just don't like the actual content of the game.
Big Boss's face texture really bothers me, though.

Though, Raiden's face and hair bothers me more. And not because of him looking fem. That doesn't bother me, hell Snake's hair is roughly the same length.
It's how little detailed he looked compared to other main characters.

They used a fully redesigned model for the body to match MGS3's head model (which is unchanged, aside from some mild dithering on the face textures)
(not that the redesign is bad. I even am still using the Smash skin II made for MGS2 Snake)
(Though I'm bout to change it.)
Naked Raiden is the best character design in the series, though.
