Dont trust the bag unless you know how thick the lining is and you can guarantee there will never be a tear on any part of it

also disable the cell radio and just use Wifi, to prevent cell tower loc tracking

Bottom line is if you're going to do something that will get a sideways look from somebody is better done in person without a phone or any electronic device nowhere near you
