the perfect focus would be an SVT with the 2.3L swapped in but the interior pre mid-2005 is ugly AF
left to right: pre-facelift, SVT, post-2005
to quote Wikipedia: The SVT also featured a reworked version of the 2.0-liter Zetec engine available in other Focus models. Developed in concert with Cosworth, this engine featured a special aluminum cylinder head with enlarged intake ports, high compression pistons and forged connecting rods, piston oil squirters, solenoid operated variable camshaft timing on the intake cam, dual stage intake manifold, and a 4-2-1 tubular exhaust header. These additions, coupled with an increased 10.2:1 compression ratio, increased power from 130 to 170 horsepower
The ST had a 2.3-litre, 151 hp with a 5 speed rather than the 6 speed from the Mini Cooper S found in the SVT.
Though power was lower than the SVT, acceleration was only slightly lower due to a higher differential ratio. The ST was also packed with stupid heated seats, heated mirrors, leather interior, moonroof, and Audiophile package which made it stoopid heavy at
1242 kg / 2738 lbs. or more idk if that weight includes all the addons. A regular ZX3 weighs 2,551 -2,651lbs.
This nigga knows Focuses
Do the interiors swap in any realistic time frame/cost effectiveness?
never heard of anyone doing an interior swap but some people have done front end conversions to give a pre2005 car a facelift
along with the exterior changes in the facelift there was a change to the front uhhh knuckle or some shit with the suspension. this means that the SVT suspension and aftermarket susppension kits for the pre facelift models will not fit on and mk1.5 (facelifted) model
the rear on the hatches stayed the same though and the euro rear bumper should be mandatory for any zx3 owner
the american bumper on the right is fat and stupid
I agree
stupid crash ratings
focus looks better <:smork:309402628050124801>
Especially with those giant bumpers
yeah she got a pphat ass
oof
make it AWD
hardly justifiable though
for the same or less price you'd pay for fabrications and install to make an AWD focus you could buy a rally ready fiesta http://m-sportedition.co.uk/
AWD 240z instead
@Leaf me alone that sound tho
my Suzuki Samurai buddy bought a Miata
I was looking at one next to me in traffic yesterday, they are so small
Yeah they're tiny
Alright you faggots I am willing to exchange gun info and gun advice for auto info and auto advice.
I want to know good options for utilitarian 4x4s that aren't trucks
By not trucks, do you mean unibody as opposed to body-on frame?
Other good questions would be how large you would like it to be, do you prefer NA/Japanese/European, how fast/fuel efficient you require, and what the initial and ultimate purpose are?
also budget
Ideally about tye size of a Jeep CJ, no preference on place, don't care about it being fast nor efficient, purpose is to have a trusty vehicle I can rely upon for heavy use as an utilitarian vehicle so driving on dirt, stones, small rivers that don't reach door level so I can pack up and go innawoods for shooting and hunting.
Budget would be 3000, 5000, 10000 USD, I want the best options for each price.
