It would be difficult to negotiate but not impossible
This orgy of coalitions
It shits on the idea of democracy
What kind of democracy is a coalition made to stop a popular party?
Iām not against coalitions but prefer a single party government
I'm against orgy coalitions
Massive blocs which basically eliminates the idea of choice
The Uk most recent coalition was the conservatives and liberals democrats coalition from 2010-2015 it was stable and had not been used to keep a popular party out
It was not an orgy coalition
British coalitions are nothing like European coalitions
The wartime coalition worked in the uk
You can't compare that to coalitions
That was a time of emergency when the parties just threw out politics
Plus, the Tories got lucky with that coalition
That coalition could have only worked with Churchill and Attlee in charge of their respective parties
And that was in the case of war
Meanwhile, Europe makes coalitions like people make sandwiches
Both Churchill and Attlee where good prime ministers
Of course they were
They were perfect for the time they ruled
It's not a coincidence that the nations that have never had a coup are the ones that use different electoral systems (FPTP and Electoral College)
Churchill was prime minster from 1940-1945,1951-1955
Attlee was prime minster from 1945-1951
Attlee should have won 51
Why
They didn't update the election map
So slight imbalance worked out in Churchill's favour
The conservatives won a overall majority but labour got more votes
Yeah
That was the map's fault though
Not the system
The same thing could of happened in 2005 labour could of had a overall majority but the conservatives could of had the most votes
Did Blair landslide 2005?
Or was 2005 the third election?
No a majority of 66 is not a landslide a majority of 100+ is
2005 was a year
Not an election
Yeah, 2005 was his half-term
Build a big wall around @Deleted User
Half way through, he gave it to Brown
Why?
