i think we need to fix overpopulation so we dont have more people causing more pollution

2019-04-21 21:07:00 UTC

therfore stopping global warming

2019-04-21 21:07:03 UTC

Okay thanos.

2019-04-21 21:07:04 UTC
2019-04-21 21:07:10 UTC

Population regulates itself naturally...

2019-04-21 21:07:14 UTC

Thats not an issue.

2019-04-21 21:07:23 UTC

We need to stop reproduce ourselves for fun

2019-04-21 21:07:23 UTC

its gonna keep going up my friend

2019-04-21 21:07:26 UTC

more people= more kids

2019-04-21 21:07:36 UTC

I am aware. Its gonna get to 11 billion and then start to cap out.

2019-04-21 21:07:38 UTC

everyone these days needs to spit out 3 kids

2019-04-21 21:07:59 UTC

I don't want to have kids ever, if I want I will adopt one

2019-04-21 21:08:08 UTC

Population growth has kinda flatlined recently

2019-04-21 21:08:15 UTC

off topic

2019-04-21 21:08:17 UTC

Actually ppl now a days are having on average only 2 kids unlike way back in the day.
Majority of the American population is over 50 years old... Baby Boomers.
When they die our population will drop really fast.

2019-04-21 21:08:40 UTC

Well yeah social media is partly to blame.

2019-04-21 21:08:58 UTC

In poor countries they reproduce themselves a lot, because they don't use protection most of the time

2019-04-21 21:09:05 UTC

When the other countries become fully developed, their populations will slow down too.

2019-04-21 21:09:23 UTC

Climate Change is certainly indirectly affected by population increases but we can compensate for that with actions taken to stop C02 emissions and other forms of pollution.

2019-04-21 21:09:29 UTC

honestly

2019-04-21 21:09:34 UTC

even 11 billion people is too many

2019-04-21 21:09:41 UTC

In poor countries mortality rate is high among children, which is why they produce more kids

2019-04-21 21:10:10 UTC

First thing I will do when I'll live alone is to try to be independent, create my own energy and make my own food, maybe even get my own water

2019-04-21 21:12:02 UTC

I want to be financially wealthy enough to go buy my food locally once or twice a week. Buying it all fresh and cook it later that day.

2019-04-21 21:12:06 UTC

That sounds fucking cool.

2019-04-21 21:12:11 UTC

Actually my family has a cottage where we already do that

2019-04-21 21:12:29 UTC

You cannot buy it locally?

2019-04-21 21:13:26 UTC

I can, but I can't afford that.
Poorly investing in shitty food right now.

2019-04-21 21:13:40 UTC

But I've lost 40 lbs since christmas and I'm making big changes.

2019-04-21 21:13:57 UTC

Off topic but congrats lol

2019-04-21 21:14:10 UTC

Can't buy organic great food for your body if the animals start dying and cost 80 bucks for steak LOL

2019-04-21 21:18:22 UTC

Damn I see

2019-04-21 21:24:03 UTC

In Biology class I learned about Keystone Species, essentially the idea that if one animal dies out, that animal was likely the prey of a predator which can no longer eat it and will start to die out and follow the chain up. Once the predators have all died now the leftover animals begin to overpopulate without the face of danger which will begin to drastically affect the area.
Should look up the studies of it. Its really really interesting.

2019-04-21 21:27:10 UTC

Personally I think we have a 60% chance of ecosystem and society collapse in less than ten years

2019-04-21 21:27:28 UTC

Based on what pretenses and evidence

2019-04-21 21:27:39 UTC

Oh man so much

2019-04-21 21:27:54 UTC

I did my masters thesis on the global ecological crisis

2019-04-21 21:28:06 UTC

There are so many aspects to it

2019-04-21 21:28:15 UTC

Where do you stand politically ?

2019-04-21 21:28:15 UTC

Every single indicator shows we are in free fall

2019-04-21 21:30:23 UTC

Take your Pick. Oceans are empty of fish. Methane is releasing from under the permafrost. Deforestation is unfathomable. Population explosion is out of control. Plastic in the oceans is beyond belief. Species extinction at massive rates. Water resources exhausting. Over consumption. Pollution. Insects dissapearing. Pollinators dying off. Radiation in the Pacific ocean. Earth's magnetic field collapsing.
