because US has quaranteed many countries militarily, they have kept many wars from happening

USSR vs Europe (nato)

and the list goes on and on

US also gave ALOT of foreign aid to Europe after both World Wars

if you help to keep strategical partners secure, then you also guarantee your influence in the area

or you aren't really controlling your country

how else would it make sense that we pay for a border wall for a foreign country but not our own
