The allegory would suggest that the power actually *increases* as you deal with each successive politician

2019-10-24 18:21:41 UTC

lol

2019-10-24 18:21:42 UTC

But it doesn’t sound like you’re claiming that

2019-10-24 18:21:42 UTC

yes, because now they look like a victim

2019-10-24 18:21:53 UTC

Who are you referencing?

2019-10-24 18:22:24 UTC

I'm talking in general, look the original point was Carbon saying he wants to basically destroy and rebuild the republican party I see this as a waste he should try to conquer it from within

2019-10-24 18:22:35 UTC

didn't need to turn into this if you had basic contextual reasoning but I can't help that

2019-10-24 18:22:56 UTC

You didn't need to confuse everyone by quoting Captain America either, but here we are.

2019-10-24 18:22:56 UTC

I was giving you the benefit of the doubt by allowing you to explain your allegory

2019-10-24 18:23:04 UTC

I wasn't, you were

2019-10-24 18:23:06 UTC

It really just doesn’t fit any reality here

2019-10-24 18:23:16 UTC

I was quoting you, therefore you were quoting Captain America.

2019-10-24 18:23:33 UTC

So your claim is that destroying the Republican Party would... make it stronger?

2019-10-24 18:23:39 UTC

I never mentioned him I was talking about some half-assed concept of hercules killing a monster

2019-10-24 18:23:45 UTC

What are the new heads in this situation?

2019-10-24 18:23:50 UTC

no each step you take to do so would

2019-10-24 18:23:56 UTC

or would just make it more difficult to combat

2019-10-24 18:24:03 UTC

not necessarily stronger just more difficult to achieve what you want

2019-10-24 18:24:13 UTC

What is a step toward destroying the Republican Party that would make it more resilient?

2019-10-24 18:24:20 UTC

It just doesn’t have any bearing on reality

2019-10-24 18:24:25 UTC

cause now "oh we are under attack" instead of them simply becoming something that people would prefer it to be because it changed from the inside

2019-10-24 18:24:33 UTC

And?

2019-10-24 18:24:42 UTC

That is strengthening to them in what way?

2019-10-24 18:24:56 UTC

Further more, removing or isolating key political figures debilitates the structures they operate in and not the other way around.

2019-10-24 18:25:08 UTC

His idea simply makes no sense.

2019-10-24 18:25:12 UTC

So this impeachment inquiry for instance is, by all indications, damaging to the Republican Party

2019-10-24 18:25:17 UTC

No, it doesn’t

2019-10-24 18:25:29 UTC

Remove one Trump and two more shall take his place.

2019-10-24 18:25:31 UTC

But he decided to be a dick about it, so let’s let him try to explain his position

2019-10-24 18:25:36 UTC

Lol

2019-10-24 18:25:46 UTC

well lets take trump for example since this is the trump channel

it's pretty obvious there isn't a lot of support for him to be impeached, and the dem party is focusing solely on impeachment rather than the american people
ultimately it's going to help trump because it just makes him look like a victim and the dem party look like lunatics who are hell bent on impeachment and not legislating

2019-10-24 18:25:57 UTC

How's that pretty obvious?

2019-10-24 18:26:10 UTC

Ok, except that there is majority support for him to be impeached

2019-10-24 18:26:14 UTC

compare a trump rally to an impeachment rally

2019-10-24 18:26:22 UTC

Support for impeachment has been going up gradually for the past two weeks or so.

2019-10-24 18:26:25 UTC

Opening the impeachment inquiry has increased support for impeachment

2019-10-24 18:26:29 UTC

by what metric though, some twitter poll?

2019-10-24 18:26:33 UTC

Yeah, and it’s been skyrocketing among independents

2019-10-24 18:26:36 UTC

Among polling

2019-10-24 18:26:43 UTC

Fine, brb with data

2019-10-24 18:26:43 UTC

lol
