Because, like I said, it's a convenient tactic to equate left and right. If left and right are equally corrupt, then anything the right does is acceptable. It's a violent way to lower the bar for what is politically and morally acceptable. If it weren't that way, you should be able to list everything wrong with the GOP/conservatives/Trump.
