Trump has been beefy with Iran ever since he began his presidency. Then when they attacked in December, that was the last straw. He decided to take out their terrorist leaders.
Truth is, the tension against Iran isn't a Trump thing, it's an American president thing. Every president since Reagan has wanted to take down Iran, including Obama.
