You know I hadn't considered that
I got iodized at first but then switched to plain because of the shelf life difference
but I suppose there's nothing stopping me from using iodized in my normal rotation while also putting away plain salt for long term
Iodized salt with shelf life?
The additive reduces it to about 5 years iirc
>5 year shelf life
You’ll consume it by then
Yeah
I just tend to not put a lot of salt on my food
So I'm thinking that it might be nice to take a supplement to be at peak performance
Publix didn't have it either <:just:684645144133500934>
Oof

@itstooslim supplements to prevent goiter, or to treat radiation?
@UncleDrMrBaby goiter I guess, also isn't it supposed to improve cognition
the easiest way to get iodine (even in SHTF) is iodized salt
$.92 for 26oz at walmart. Thats 1.625lbs for a dollar.
The recommended daily intake for adults is 150 micrograms, which can be obtained from about one-half to three-quarters of a teaspoon of table salt
how do obtain without salt
in diet, i mean
We should move to <#673085069283557397> I suppose
but this is also my main question because I'm sure that I'm taking in more than enough salt, but not necessarily enough iodine
you won’t be iodine deficient if you have iodized salt and eat adequately, have adequte water intake (minus if you live in mountains)
for radiation, taking iodine pills will only protect your thyroid gland, so you’re fucked otherwise.
Just in case you guys can’t find any in stores. OR you want to make some to sell to idiots.

Based
Thats less than 66.6% alcohol
Ive seen that recipe countless of times now
Aim for 72% or higher
I just keep a spray bottle or isopropyl
I just spit on everything
If you guys can’t get hold of isopropyl, I suggest peroxide in a spray bottle
