Daily reminder you should use 70% ethanol, since 93% forces bacteria into spore state, making them stronger. Stay safe. Hanx

I don't know If this is the right channel, but I have replacement straps for some of my n95 masks coming in tomorrow, what would be the best adhesive to attach them with?

2020-04-11 22:18:37 UTC

Depends on the material, general super glue might work or a plastic epoxy. heavy duty staples are a solid way to go.

Here's a quick trick I learned while killing brown people a decade ago, if you get baking soda, and real crazy glue, it makes an adhesive that is used to fill in cracks on the carbon fiber rotors of helicopters.

Do *not* fuck around with this stuff, it is pure evil, wear gloves.

90% Alcohol in a sealed container for 1hr + Microwave for 5-15 seconds

2020-04-12 20:26:00 UTC

Is how I've been reusing some of my stuff

2020-04-12 20:26:15 UTC

Just gas it in the sealed container, make sure all the surfaces are soaked.

My white disposable suits get handwashed in 3-5% hydrogen-peroxide mix + water, soaked for 30mins, then tumble tried on highest heat.

2020-04-12 20:27:26 UTC

My CBRN suits get similar treatment

2020-04-12 20:27:53 UTC

I even do it to disposable gloves

also found out talking with the vet that they are taught (and practice) wound closures on chicken skin

2020-04-29 17:25:51 UTC

So buy your sutures and staples and a couple skin-on chicken parts and have at it.
