Shouldn’t be difficult. Get a narrow nozzle for the compressor. See how it fits in the barrel pipe. If it’s too small, use an O ring or something else to close off the escaping air. Then load a projectile into the barrel. Fire at will.

Can attest to either Mossberg 500 or 590 (just get 500 if price is any type of concern, IMO it's not worth the price difference). If wanting a pistol, I would choose M&P Shield or a Glock for first time purchasers
