why glock barrel go up when slide go back ?

2020-04-09 17:44:50 UTC

there's locking lugs inside that orient the barrel into position to make sure the casing leaves the chamber

2020-04-09 17:45:12 UTC

some are all the way around, some guns are too short so they are only half way around inside the slide

2020-04-09 17:45:18 UTC

they drop so it makes room

2020-04-09 17:45:30 UTC

so they dont need 2 inches more of barrel and slide

2020-04-09 17:45:37 UTC

and maintain overall barrel length

2020-04-09 17:45:55 UTC

that way the slot the casing comes out is right above the mag

2020-04-09 17:46:00 UTC

and not way forward

@a homo sapien - look for a club that does Practical Shotgun and while never in the same league as US black rifles there's tons of .22LR black rifles available now too. Both are good fun. If your club allows you can sill get various long barrel pistols from .22LR up to various centre fire cals.

im fanatasising about target shooting with a bolt action

2020-04-09 18:15:11 UTC

And you can get 'straight pulls' but I've never seen the point in them tbh

like a lee enfield or mosin etc
