@a homo sapien - look for a club that does Practical Shotgun and while never in the same league as US black rifles there's tons of .22LR black rifles available now too. Both are good fun. If your club allows you can sill get various long barrel pistols from .22LR up to various centre fire cals.

Yeah, I've shot Styer SSG04, and Parker Hale M82 on old school sights. And a few others on loan for range days. Currently shoot .243 semi custom for varmint / vermin with permission to shoot over land. Looking to rejoin my old club for PSG and .357 underlever which are absolute the nuts.
