I think I read that the sun didn’t really made the plastic leech into the water
It just changes the taste of the water
I say away from the sun to prevent the growth of bacteria and shit
if it changed the taste of the water then it surely must have leeched into the water
maybe another method of preservation could be through the fermentation of a weak alcohol to keep a sterile environment, then to keep that out of sun?
The temperature change and sun exposure changes the taste of water directly
Start thinking about food storage prep, very seriously.
Not just beans and rice either, that's a larp.
Things like peanut butter, coffee, cans of tomato sauce, bulk pasta, jello packets etc. Think about bulk multivitamins, and things like baking soda.
Something every pantry should have is beef or chicken bullion as well. This is a very easy way to add flavor to beans and rice that you cook.
Another thing: dehydrated milk. Milk will be nearly impossible to get when shit goes down, you should have a few cans of this.
Freeze dried just-add-water meals as well. Think knorr or ramens, but do not make these the bulk of your prep as they lack nutrition.
Seriously consider getting a dehydrator and making jerkey / fruit leathers.
Are you LARPING, or are you fucking serious about having USABLE food storage that you can rotate into you diet as cheaper eating as well?
do multivitamins actually work?
@Patrick Bateman yes and no
they make a difference in that they (may) keep you from being deficient, but most multivitamins are made with bare minimum daily requirements in mind
they're supplements and should be regarded as such
fat soluble vitamins have ability to be acummulated in body’s fat deposits so when you have deficiency from external source body can use those deposits but not water soluble ones. They usually het excreted if you have excess ammount in body.
some deficiencies are extremely rare and only come out in severly malnourished individuals some come out quicker
it depends in what kind of environment you will live and what food you will have
taking vitamins twice a week is what i do

Roughly the same cost if not slightly cheaper than pre-made Gatorade when combining the cost of the water needed to make it. It'd be nice to have when you're sick. Gonna try long-term storage and see what happens
Fuck nibba
Is that on Costco?
Walmart
$8.38 for a can that makes 6 gallons
