Not just which instutution is better?
Or more loving, caring. Etc?
No
More like whos idea about god was right
What "points" did they make?
Whether the holy trinity was true or not
How can they know the unknowable
How can they debate faith?
See Muslims don't believe in the holy trinity because it goes against their faith of there only being one god who has no father nor child
That's where i came in
Became the voice of reason
Telling them that you're both arguing over ridiculous things
Thats bit really an argument. Thats the thesis
I cant imagine an argument
I told them that's not how faith works
Id love if other users here would have one. Any religious philosophers here to eudcate me?
Id love to see a cross-faith debate
You wouldn't have faith if you were able to undisputably prove a fact
You'd just know it's true no need for faith
You can debate without certainty
Why?
Why not write your own religion that really appeals maximally?
Why buy safeway cupcakes when you can bake better?
Well that question has been asked and the answer is a but complicated
It's about how humans changed as time went on
Mythologies that had a lot of gods to worship always had this bleak image
Usually ending with a fight between gods and the end of the world but....
Unlike Christianity or Islam it seemed like there was no true salvation in those religions
Basically making worshiping those deities pointless
Boo
Naw
That isnt true nor an answer
Okay fine let me give a simpler answer
But there are no answers in religion
Too many gods made things confusing
So they found a one almighty god to be better
Monothestic religion existed before christianity
And died
And salvation definitely
And arguably christianity it not monotheistic
