Not quite. I think that science and morals are two separate things that work in tandem, not aagainst each other
why dont we talk about outliers now
Is a shitty place better than dead? @Komrade Kam
you explained your views on the majority
No
depends
Not at al
Then why even say that?
KomradeToday at 11:03 AM
So then to not raise it you put it up for adoption which I showed is currently a shit place for a child to be
They're not dead
Would you say abortion is murder? BillCat
They never were alive to be dead
murder of potential life
So if you never exist it doesn't matter
See, that doesn't logically add up, because we were just now discussing the moral nature of the debate
dude billcat. address the outliers. in cases of abusive relationships, minors getting pregnant, and rape, what are your views on abortion @Billcat
one sec ashnaa
ok
I point out that i'm speaking *exclusively* from my moral viewpoint, so you participate in this, and then once I point out your moral inconsistency, you retreat to the scientific definition of life @Komrade Kam
but science is also fact
ohh
Yes, science presents a fact, but science does not tell you how to use that fact
so he defines life from a moralistic point of view
Yes, thank you.
yea
wait you're a he right
Yea
ok
now answer my question
outliers
abusive relationships, minors, and rape
Well I'll address minors first, since that has a medical basis. If by minor you just mean under 18 then yes, being 17 or 16 does not suddenly make my moral view change
yeah
ok
but you being that young can impact your life tho
If you mean so young that carrying the baby to term would kill them then yes, I would support an abortion in that manner, as medically preserving the existing life outweighs the potential for life
That may be so, but that impact (aside from medical) isn't strong enough justification for ending that potential life
what if carrying wouldnt kill them but would ruin the quality of life that the teen is oing to have
so the potential life of the mother is less important than the potential of a new life?
That's a choice that teen made, plain and simple, and even then they can still give the child up for adoption. Anyway moving on to the last two
