he says it's cause "they're weak and should have defended themselves"

2019-05-17 09:45:15 UTC

He sort of just says "woman's fault for being raped dumb lady stay in the kitchen" then disappears and watches the reaction

2019-05-17 09:45:23 UTC

Yea just low effort

2019-05-17 09:45:25 UTC

maybe he is busy

2019-05-17 09:45:29 UTC

we never know

2019-05-17 09:45:38 UTC

i hope he;s a troll

2019-05-17 09:45:54 UTC

wait billcat you support woman's rights right

2019-05-17 09:46:05 UTC

like they should be granted the same rights as men

2019-05-17 09:46:06 UTC

Wdym? Like equal rights? Of course

2019-05-17 09:46:12 UTC

yeah ok good

2019-05-17 09:46:36 UTC

TMK women have equal rights as well, at least in the US. I think the fight for equality is abroad at this point

2019-05-17 09:46:46 UTC

what about like paid leave

2019-05-17 09:46:52 UTC

Is paid leave a right?

2019-05-17 09:47:15 UTC

dont really agree

2019-05-17 09:47:36 UTC

oh yea, billcat, you are pro life for abortion right

2019-05-17 09:47:39 UTC

Why so? If you can show me a law that is sexist by intent then I would stand behind you and denounce it

2019-05-17 09:47:44 UTC

Yes, I am.

2019-05-17 09:47:46 UTC

what you think of alabama abortion law

2019-05-17 09:48:00 UTC

he said he has no op

2019-05-17 09:48:06 UTC

cause there's not enough solid info

2019-05-17 09:48:06 UTC

Poorly written, but on purpose because they want to oppose roe v wade

2019-05-17 09:48:11 UTC

oh?

2019-05-17 09:48:27 UTC

roe v wade should be protected at all costs

2019-05-17 09:48:29 UTC

I managed to find bits and pieces of it, a lot of the justification behind the law is poor and the medical clarifications are very limited.

2019-05-17 09:48:49 UTC

yeah

2019-05-17 09:49:17 UTC

They left it intentionally vague in many places because they want it to be broad enough that if it successfully opposed Roe v Wade then it could be applied elsewhere and then modified per state

2019-05-17 09:49:52 UTC

And I would say passing vague state legislation so it can be used as a potential copy paste base for other abortion legislation is bad politics

2019-05-17 09:50:15 UTC

yeah

2019-05-17 09:50:59 UTC

But honestly the whole debate argument will probably never be solved because two sides are framing it in two different ways

2019-05-17 09:51:08 UTC

yep

2019-05-17 09:51:14 UTC

the whole "is it alive" thing

2019-05-17 09:51:53 UTC

Those on the left frame is as bodily autonomy and a bunch of crusty old white dudes wanting to control women's bodies, those on the right don't see it as that because they see the fetus as a life and care about the life being ended, they have no intent to control a female's body

2019-05-17 09:52:41 UTC

I've explained my views on the matter before but yea, there really isn't much more than can be said, other than the value of human life is seen as very low to some

2019-05-17 09:52:43 UTC

yeah um i don't completely agree w the opinion that pro-lifers are trying to restrict woman's rights on purpose

2019-05-17 09:53:18 UTC

*the value of a fetus

2019-05-17 09:53:28 UTC

I would make the stance that the discussion has nothing to do with woman's rights unless somebody is advocating for mandatory pregnancy i,e "You must give birth to THREE children in your lifetime"

2019-05-17 09:53:57 UTC

yeah i would agree with the fact that you guys aren't TRYING to make woman's rights less

2019-05-17 09:54:09 UTC

but banning abortion is

2019-05-17 09:54:14 UTC

imo

2019-05-17 09:54:42 UTC

Also I think the fetus being alive discussion is pointless because whether it is alive is not scientific in basis (Since all single celled organisms are technically "alive") and x y z is just an arbitrary standard to whether it is alive i,e heartbeat, brain waves, etc

2019-05-17 09:55:11 UTC

it's not murder if it's not alive
