Let's start over. How do you define meritocracy
irregardless of the physical characteristics of the person who submitted the code
What code r you talking about
A meritocracy can be anything
any code, but I was talking about the code that gets submitted to Linux in this example, because not that long ago their was some big drama regarding meritocracy and the Linux Foundation
The physical characteristics dont matter
A lady wrote the "Post Meritocracy Manifesto"
let me find it
But there are a ton of other factors that do
of course the person's physical characteristics don't matter, that's why I'm asking how can the idea of a meritocracy in that instance be racist?
I hire software developers. Writing good tests can be more important or expressing your concepts to the group or writing good documtation or being a leader...
so you don't believe that one person can be better at something than another person?
Sure they can. But you can't completely base an economy.on.merit
but in the case of what code gets used
how is meritocracy not a real thing
the better piece of code is used, that's it
it has nothing to do with what color the person who submitted the code's skin is
I'm going to bed now. My comment was random and. Im too tired to follow up
great
good night
broh
being a leftist is exactly like being a toddler who throws temper tantrums to get their way
Not all of them
But most of them
actually
nevermind
I was gonna say I had a leftist friend
but he's just a conservative in denial
Dam i missed a lot
My main point was that I believe that the feminists today are not following the goal of feminism, equality. They make it into a form of sexism
I'm all for gender equality
I'd punch a woman in the face as hard as I would a guy
Same
I'd restrain myself against a woman
Unless they have a gun
or a weapon
@Half Pint Can you provide some examples of how feminists aren't pursuing that?
I know in Israel feminists are pushing for women spending the same amount of compulsory time in the military as men, which certainly is not an "advantage" (at least in the objective stance) for women
I dont support that movement
