Well ok but "bad skin" means cosmetically bad skin

2020-04-28 18:55:05 UTC

Cos who?😂

2020-04-28 18:55:23 UTC

I meant acne,

2020-04-28 18:55:41 UTC

Like dry skin, or oily, or pimples, stuff like that they may be trying to improve.

2020-04-28 18:55:45 UTC

Well yeah but stopping acne is usually showers and diet

2020-04-28 18:56:07 UTC

Skin products are usually just there so that people can continue the behavior that keeps their acne

2020-04-28 18:56:49 UTC

well, In conclusion I feel it’s still not feminine for putting on skin products, ty for my ted talk❤️❤️❤️❤️

2020-04-28 18:57:35 UTC

I'm not arguing with that, I'm just saying there is a reason that the perception is there because male skin is thicker and typically has higher amounts of collagen so its tougher in essence

2020-04-28 18:57:46 UTC

So skin care is more important for females

2020-04-28 18:58:03 UTC

Its in the same vein as like vaginal care vs penile care

2020-04-28 18:58:11 UTC

Like of course its gonna differ based on sex

2020-04-28 18:58:15 UTC

I-

2020-04-28 18:58:29 UTC

oh okay

2020-04-28 18:58:53 UTC

Well maybe some of the skin products work for them

2020-04-28 19:00:17 UTC

There are men skin products made also for their type of skin

2020-04-28 19:40:16 UTC

lgbtq is wrong in all ways

2020-04-28 19:40:20 UTC

we can agree on that

2020-04-28 20:23:44 UTC

Idk who “we” is,

2020-04-28 20:23:55 UTC

It’s just a sexuality, I don’t really care for it, 😂

2020-04-28 21:25:16 UTC

It's not wrong, but there people who are "apart" of it or want to be apart of it, that want a title for everything

2020-04-28 21:25:41 UTC

Its why others don't take us seriously

2020-04-28 21:26:13 UTC

lgbq is fine

2020-04-28 21:26:13 UTC

t

2020-04-28 21:26:17 UTC

idk about that

2020-04-28 21:27:31 UTC

i think once you start taking hormones or any other drug to "transform" you into another sex is just hurting yourself slowly and should really be illegal

2020-04-28 22:11:42 UTC

Transgenderism is in a very weird place in which half of it is actively researched, theory is being constructed, and lots of attention is focused on it and the other half is totally ignored. Everybody wants to talk about the path towards transitioning, how it helps in cases, and what benefits it brings but nobody ever wants to talk about desistance, misdiagnosis or the theory of rapid onset gender dysphoria in the era of information and the internet. Only a small subsection of transitioning individuals report a cessation of morbid thoughts and even morbid behaviors like planning suicides and cutting. And transitioning has a very negligible effect on suicide rate. And tackling the ways a condition can kill you is, in my opinion, the most important treatment of a condition. I think a lot of people rather than transitioning need therapy, and I don't mean therapy where they get diagnosed with gender dysphoria and pressured into transitioning. I mean therapy that helps them with their body image and treats it more like a body dysmorphia disorder where you can help them stop obsessive thoughts on their body which is a lot more appealing than "You have these symptoms, TIME TO CHOP" that seems to really pervade treatment of dysphoria in general. And you can't ignore the theory of rapid onset gender dysphoria either, especially in regard to young girls. Its a really complex issue most likely driven by social media and transgender propaganda (yeah it exists and so does grooming, ignoring that is a big mistake too). Like obviously I would love for there to be a single treatment that just solves the problem for people but there just isn't. Desistance and Detransitioning exists, and the longer "intellectuals" and scientists choose to ignore it, the faster the problem is going to get worse.

2020-04-28 22:25:58 UTC

@Jay-zDogg hormones and surgery relive dysphoria, just how anti depressants treat depression. It really helps trans people feel happy and content, even if it may have complications, just as any medication to anything has

If hormones were illegal:
1) suicide rates would probably go up in transgender individuals
2) people might get ghetto hormones that might not be legit and would be way more dangerous then they may be already.

2020-04-28 22:27:35 UTC

Pre and post op and hormone suicide rate remains roughly similar

2020-04-28 22:28:09 UTC

The ghetto hormones and surgery thing is far too real though, which is why you really want effective treatments

2020-04-28 22:28:43 UTC

The problem with transitioning is the lack of data and study on the adverse effects of A: the treatment itself and B: Misdiagnosis

2020-04-28 22:29:49 UTC

Its really hard to argue with studies that show post op, most transgender people still have suicidal thoughts and morbid thoughts regarding their bodies and often continue on anti-depressants

2020-04-28 22:29:56 UTC

And anti-depressants are an entirely different argument too

2020-04-28 22:54:20 UTC

True

2020-04-29 04:43:07 UTC

but feeling happy and content isn't justification to take medication to change a part of your biological features (for men to get breast and other uses, but are gonna take a very long time to list). also medication for physical heath and recovery is completely different from the medication you're talking about

2020-04-29 04:49:35 UTC

also @Braden's Husband "ghetto" drugs/medicine isn't like weed, this isn't something to just do for recreational uses. you're injecting something into your body that is slowly going to change your biology.

2020-04-29 04:50:50 UTC

When I said that I meant illegal. And that's what they want. They are mentally a different gender, and it pains them everyday to see that they aren't that gender

2020-04-29 04:51:58 UTC

That distress is treated by changing themselves biologically. I haven't heard of many consequences of hormones and surgery. What are these dangerous complications?

2020-04-29 06:27:08 UTC

On the topic of transgender issues, I don’t personally agree with it on moral grounds, and I think anyone who dose that to themselves has mental issues and is not very smart. But on the other hand why should I have the right to tell them they can’t do that to themselves. As long as they are not pushing for “acceptance”. People have freedom of speech and if you “change your gender” you are going to live with the consequences of being made fun of and not taken seriously.

2020-04-29 06:27:59 UTC

And I never want someone to say that it is “ok” to change your gender. If you wanna do that to yourself go ahead, but don’t go telling people it’s normal.

2020-04-29 06:59:56 UTC

My question is,

2020-04-29 07:00:05 UTC

Is it affecting your daily life?
