Racism isn’t always “hate.” Sometimes it is just indoctrinated into your beliefs as a result of childhood, or just ignorance and not being educated.

It’d only true hatred if you mean to use it for emotional or physical harm. A racist joke isn’t necessarily inherently hateful, but inciting violence on someone because of their tone is. I believe that there is a middle ground.

Well I wouldn't even call a racist joke inherently racist, a lot of the point of humor is to absurdify the subject matter. The very basis of a lot "racist" humor is to make it seem like an absurd concept. I think our definition of racism might differ

No, that’s true, a joke wasn’t the best example. I define racism as the idea that you’re superior to someone because of race or pigment. I mean, that being said, I don’t think that you necessarily need to hate someone in order to see yourself as being better than them. As I said, you can be taught to do so and from that point have this rooted mentality in your head that you’re unaware of that will influence your decisions. I think if you’re aware of this and still choose to believe that you are superior than you are being 100% hateful.

I just think some people can be unremarkingly oblivious to how they come across and know if some people like this. Most of them have changed once they realized so I think that there is a difference.
