Well we need Huffman clown shirts

suggestion: reddit approved .win mods

My main problems with Donald.win rn is that
A) Slow load times logging in and refreshing
B) Misclicking will bring up images accompanying posts, Id like it so I click and I see the full post instead

2020-02-27 01:51:42 UTC

I'm a mod of AskThe_Donald, can we get a subsection or something like it to replica that? then we can send normies there as well to be red-pilled

Just had to make the jump because spez has resorted to tyranny. Unfortunately my mobile ways aren't really compatible with .win... i would love a bit more mobile optimisations or maybe even a mobile app, though I know it is asking a lot.

2020-02-27 03:38:53 UTC

Is there a dark mode for .win? or any kind of settings?

2020-02-27 03:39:28 UTC

nvm I asked before I looked

2020-02-27 06:02:32 UTC

can we get the "important links" on t_d transferred to .win?

2020-02-27 06:02:43 UTC

the resources, op-eds, accomplishments, everything

2020-02-27 06:23:47 UTC

This is also the best time to start working on security measures

2020-02-27 06:23:57 UTC

Before people start moving en masse

2020-02-27 11:08:57 UTC

Would love to see these numbers on .win

Sorry but the PREVIEW button (arrow down) usability really annoys me especially on mobile. Simple CSS suggestion: make inline-block, add horizontal padding. Doesn't take any extra (vertical) space, tried in my browser and it helps...
```
@media only screen and (min-width: 973px)
.post-list [data-action=expand] {
display: inline-block;
padding: 0 4px 0 8px;
}
```

2020-02-27 12:36:52 UTC

Reddit would never have this - but what about a bot that reposts .win posts onto t_d? Might make the switch a little easier for some

2020-02-27 13:39:52 UTC

The scrollbar

2020-02-27 13:40:03 UTC

Would be nice if there was more, contrast

2020-02-27 13:40:08 UTC

I barely can see the difference

2020-02-27 15:33:14 UTC

The "auto expand embedded" is nice! I think it would look a little better if it hides the smaller image next to the title and expand the title where the smaller image was

We need to build a video hosting site equivalent to .win

2020-02-27 17:04:26 UTC

Any way to change your username on win? Had a typo I didn't catch til now.

2020-02-27 17:16:45 UTC

Bit.chute is a good video hosting site

2020-02-27 17:16:50 UTC

@DarkRiver has a few bad nuts

2020-02-27 17:16:59 UTC

but I'm sure if we started posting there in mass

2020-02-27 17:17:05 UTC

those nuts would be drowned out

2020-02-27 18:29:28 UTC

A few thoughts.
1) Image uploads from the site that automatically uploads onto magaimg (apparently magaimg is dead, so whatever the new ones are) and posts to .win. Can also do something similar for videos if there's a host that'd be willing.
2) Site's moving really slow right now, needs more power - I click a link and it takes a while to load
3) This would be different than Reddit, but a way to find the most active comment threads that people can just continue discussions long after the post has been knocked off the first page. Kind of a way to integrate a more classic forum feel with the Reddit upvote style threads.

Suggestion: Password resets seem to require a user to know their old password. Often, if they knew their old password, they wouldn't need a reset. The alternative is an email and/or verification route for accounts with an email. Does not apply to accounts with no email.

2020-02-27 20:01:26 UTC

Another suggestion: parse imgur.com/######### links into i.imgur.com/#########.jpg direct links upon submission

2020-02-27 20:02:00 UTC

Was thinking the same, but unfortunately it's not a one for one change

2020-02-27 20:03:24 UTC

you're linking an album

2020-02-27 20:03:35 UTC
2020-02-27 20:04:14 UTC

it wouldn't be terribly difficult to write something that pulled the first image from an album and link to it, but it would take processing resources

2020-02-27 20:05:34 UTC

Based on the post link, it'd have a problem with extension. It could be jpg,gif,png. So unless it pulls it from the actual page, it'd have to test common extensions to figure out which gives a 200 response and then use that.

2020-02-27 20:05:40 UTC

unless there are better ways, idk

2020-02-27 20:06:24 UTC

fortunately imgur doesn't really care what the image extension is. Using your example, a jpg

2020-02-27 20:06:24 UTC
2020-02-27 20:06:49 UTC

interesting

2020-02-27 20:08:40 UTC

So, you could get away with just adding the i. and .png in most cases and it would work and that wouldn't be anything server side you can have that working with like javascript in the users browser before it submits to the server. A "more correct" method of having the server ask imgur what image is first in that album and then link to that image directly would be technically better but would be a huge resource hog that clearly isn't needed right now
