Anyway, enjoy handing over your only means of defending yourself, your family, and your country from tyrannical assholes
Here is the EU playbook on spinning narratives
@qwasi how do you feel about lgbt
Actually anyone can answer
In what way
Do I hate any and all LGBT people for... reasons? No. Do I dislike the current hedonistic, selfish, and harmful culture of the LGBT community at large? Yes. I strongly dislike people who play the victim card because of their sexual orientation because some idiot college professor told them they're being oppressed. Nobody is oppressing the gays.
And I dislike people who substitute their sexual orientation for a personality
I dislike how the LGBT community bullies any company that doesn't grovel at their feet and virtue signal to the world how great it is to be gay
I dislike the current trend of confusing kids and pushing them to question their gender and sexual identity before they even know what those things are
I dislike the trend of the sexualization of children, like you see with the drag queen kids
I agree with the last point actually
Yep
But my gay coworker who doesn't talk about being gay all the time? I ain't got no problems with them.
I can't stand gays who think that just because you don't like them as a person, it must be because they're gay
No, I probably just don't like your personality
Like with anyone else I meet
I strongly dislike woke culture as a whole, and the ridiculous trend that "speech I don't like == hate speech"
And the idea that hate speech doesn't count as free speech for whatever reason
Freedom of speech is absolute in the US, and that's something that should be protected at all costs. The left tends to forget that free speech allowed things like women's sufferage and the civil rights movement.
All you get by restricting "hate speech" is pushing people underground to fester instead of letting their ideas be known and challenged
That's how people make up their own minds about something. If you're so scared of what someone might say that you want to ban it, you're removing my right to make up my own mind about how I feel about something
I may very well decide its trash and join your criticism of the idea
But that can't happen if you ban it
And somehow, the LGBT community got tied up in that mess
I voted for gay marriage to be legalized in my state before it was legalized federally
But man, they've gone off the fuckin deep end lately
damn
also this is made worse by the way modern media likes to push the most sensationalist and dramatic opinions and people to the forefront
I can actually agree with most of what you’re saying
What about adoption rights for lgbt
Well
are they hurting other people?
if no
then why not?
Wouldn’t it be better for kids to have any kind of home than not?
In theory, I see no problem with a stable gay couple adopting a child. The problem with that is that when you look at statistics, lesbians especially seem to have some serious problems with domestic violence and other issues. There's also the importance of having a male and female presence in the family home. Not to say that gay couples are automatically inferior parents, but the traditional family unit is statistically more likely to produce quality people. And that's really the whole goal of child-rearing, to raise an excellent person and prepare them for the world. I think for that reason, religious adoption agencies absolutely should have the right to deny gay couples in favor of traditional families. But I don't think gays should be denied across the board.
But the statistics are worrisome in that regard
My worry there is that much like the current trend of affirmative action in pretty much all media, the blackwashing of traditionally white characters, etc... you could very well get a situation where an adoption agency specifically looks for gay couples to acquiesce the LGBT community, lest they be labeled bigots
So otherwise serious red flags go unnoticed or ignored
