I was anticipating Trump smartening up about the whole 'Wuhan/China virus' thing. I see it as less appropriate to call it a 'chinese virus' thats for sure. It does have racial connotation, as if its only for chinese. 'Wuhan virus' was debatably a bad label, but fine. However for Trump to be taken seriously about this subject and for there to be a chance of snowflakes absorbing how well he is handling this, he needed to call it COVID.

China virus was the wrong battle to pick. I am actually very relieved to see he has gotten over that. It shows maturity, in terms of his attitude with the situation improving.

Wasn't Trump was trying to do a peace plan with Afghanistan before Wu Flu hit?

2020-03-26 22:25:15 UTC

@Snipez01 Was that within the last 48 hours?

2020-03-26 23:19:28 UTC

Nah, Fuck that shit. "Spanish" Flu, "German Measles" , "Middle East Respiratory Syndrome". "Chinese Flu / Chinese Virus" was completely fine.

2020-03-26 23:19:34 UTC

Never give in to leftist pricks and their PC culture

2020-03-26 23:21:17 UTC

MERS AKA "Camel Flu". You think Obama would have gotten shit for calling it Camel Flu, or Middle East Respiratory Syndrome? Fuck no.

2020-03-26 23:21:29 UTC

The leftist messiah can do no wrong.

2020-03-26 23:22:36 UTC

We also dont go around calling MERS (MERS-COV); we call it MERS. So why would we call Chinese CoronaVirus, (COVID-19), other than to placate the PC culture.

2020-03-26 23:22:40 UTC

and ChiCom propaganda

2020-03-26 23:25:12 UTC

When China stated that US Soldiers deployed the virus, that is when Trump rightfully started calling it the Chinese Virus; IMO he should have never stopped and hammered that fucking point over and over. IF anything, he could have just said "Chinese CoronaVirus".

I keep getting mixed signals. With the passing of the rescue bill what's in it for people that are on unemployment. I just got laid off. My unemployment is $288/week. I saw something about $600. Is that a increase of $600/week on top of your unemployment or is that the max?

"The Republican party, as we noted at the beginning of the book, is an insurgent outlier. It has become ideologically extreme; contemptuous of the inherited social and economic policy regime; scornful of compromise; unpersuaded by conventional understanding of facts, evidence, and science; and dismissive of the legitimacy of its political opposition, all but declaring war on the government. The Democratic party, while no paragon of civic virtue, is more ideologically centered and diverse, protective of the government's role as it developed over the course of the last century, open to incremental changes in policy fashioned through bargaining with the Republicans, and less disposed to or adept at take-no-prisoners conflict between parties. This is asymmetry between the parties, which journalists and scholars often brush aside or whitewash in a quest for "balance", constitutes a huge obstacle to effective governance." - Norm Ornstein Political Scientist, Non biased, ranked 100 top minds.
