you have kids that are leaving a 17-year marxist brainwashing program to enter the workforce in leftist cities

consuming a steady diet of fake news CNN and the NYT

spending much of their time online unwittingly conversing in fake communities with bots and russian propagandists

thinking they're right but never questioning their ideas

the scary thing about this type of large-scale brainwashing is it is effective on almost everyone

I'm currently in california, and the way I've seen it happen is that it's a ripple effect here

it's a from father to son kind of thing.

Majority of the friends I've made here are hard core socialists, and ones that don't share that thinking are outright exempt from social interaction.

The one time I ended up in a political discussion with them, and they started talking about how socialism was rightous, the first thing I said was "are we talking about socialism or nazism?"

Then one of them pointed out that I urged people to vote trump in 2016, and then everyone started yelling some shit that's been debunked time and time again

"Parties flipped," "Republicans supported hitler"

etc etc etc

After the yelling match was over, which I stayed silent in

one of them decided to DM me an angry essay

which I responded and completely flipped her world upside down

the nazis are a great example of socialism and how socialists in academia have effectively rewritten the history books

thing is, while I was in the call it was nearly impossible to get a word in since someone would start yelling, or since we were in a discord call, I outright got muted sometimes

yes well the problem with entering a debate with fake and low information news is that you will always lose against someone informed

The part that is bad isn't that they are ignorant or misinformed

It's that they believe even considering an idea that isn't ingrained into them is a crime

And react strongly with emotion and hatred

The guys I was in a call with immediately went to personal attacks

at my intelligence, and siting a source that I consider laughable

I can talk calmly with people about all kinds of shit, but people that fling insults from a difference of opinion is nuts

Mhm, worst part is the one that was flinging the attacks personally knew me

Those people I rather not talk to about politics, because they are man-children

And it is a waste of effort

the devil was cast out of heaven for his arrogance and pride

I do feel bad for them, because they genuinely believe its the right thing

I treat a lot of people with respect, but I find it hard to respect people that get emotional easily

That wasn't a coincidence either, because during his birthday party his father shared his political beliefs with us and why they're right and just
