The Republicans were always the party of the free-market, while the Democrats always supported intervention.
So, only some positions changed, but it wasn't a "switch"
I laugh when democrats bring up the Jim Crow Laws despite being the ones who passed and defended those exact laws and their only excuse is "Well the parties switched!"
But, it doesn't matter which party freed the slaves, because the modern American parties do not represent their historical past.
Both parties are traitors.
I think it matters a lot actually
They subvert the nation into a false dichotomy, limit the dialectic between two choices, two positions.
There is a third position, which truly puts America first, above markets, above globalism and above foreigners.
But, both parties have rejected this position.
sounds white nationalist no thanks
It's not white nationalist, it has nothing to do with race.
In fact, I don't believe in racial politics at all.
He's a groyper but he doesn't like being called a groyper lol
yeah the third way very much has to do with race
you even said above foreigners
Foreigners are a race?
yeah buddy
y e s
They present a cultural threat, not necessarily a racial one.
I get what you're saying but it's hyperbolic
but you can still have immigration but push for stronger integration into american culture
rather than allow them to bring backwards sharia law ideals here
under the false song of multiculturalism
Integration is near impossible with today's cultural standards.
And it will remain so.
Italians, Germans, the rest integrated only because of fear.
Unless you're okay with bringing back lynch mobs and discrimination, then no more immigrants.
Because let's be honest, our foreign population is at its highest levels since the 1920s, with historic-low native birthrates.
There will be no integration at this current rate.
yeah I can agree with that mass immigration does cause a lot of problems
And plus, the people who've been here longer should have more say in the stake of this country.
A piece of paper shouldn't qualify someone as American, especially if they come here just to reap the benefits of our nation while giving nothing back.
Legal immigrants as well, they occupy job spaces that could've been held by Americans.
imposing requirements on the vote would mean establishing a technocracy
Then stop giving out citizenship.
That's another solution.
illegal immigration is such a huge problem in the US I don't really think about the details of legal immigration
They both are, it just goes unrecognized.
tens of millions of illegals nobody knows how many
I see that as the real problem
