2020-03-11 20:13:39 UTC

I’m more of an absolute anarchy person myself

2020-03-11 20:13:45 UTC

Fuck Obamacare lol

2020-03-11 20:14:11 UTC

@CthulhuOnIce and did you negotiate your pay?

2020-03-11 20:14:32 UTC

Sure, but I work for a small business.

I support and like small business.

2020-03-11 20:14:44 UTC

1. You have the freedom to negotiate your wages
2. You have the freedom to quit and work for a competitor paying more
3. You have the freedom to start a competitive company
4. You have the freedom to walk away any time you choose

2020-03-11 20:14:59 UTC

There’s your answer and if you don’t like big business don’t work for them.

2020-03-11 20:15:03 UTC

..if you're not poor @LC

It feels like I’m watching the Anti-View when I take a peek in here

2020-03-11 20:15:41 UTC

My first job was $3.00/hr in farm fields, so don't talk to me about what being poor is like.

2020-03-11 20:16:03 UTC

I did okay, because I took opportunities presented to me, and didn't expect people to hand me things for nothing.

2020-03-11 20:16:08 UTC

forcing businesses to raise wages is exactly what large corporations want to happen because its easy for them to foot the bill of a wage rate hike.

2020-03-11 20:16:32 UTC

@LC we would have fought for you too

2020-03-11 20:16:32 UTC

thats why larger corporations back the laws all the time.

2020-03-11 20:16:44 UTC

I don't want you "fighting for me"

2020-03-11 20:16:51 UTC

That's unfortunate

2020-03-11 20:17:02 UTC

I don't want government running my fucking life.

2020-03-11 20:17:20 UTC

I'll keep my freedom to make my own choices, and do business with who I want, thanks.

2020-03-11 20:18:01 UTC

and I don't want "daddy government" stepping in between who I want to give my MONEY to

2020-03-11 20:18:05 UTC

Not everyone has that freedom

2020-03-11 20:18:07 UTC

Oh okay

2020-03-11 20:18:24 UTC

Yes. EVERYONE has that freedom. If you have two arms and two legs, you have that freedom.

2020-03-11 20:18:39 UTC

@LC how do you feel about reddits treatment of t_d?

2020-03-11 20:18:57 UTC

irrelevant to the conversation

2020-03-11 20:19:05 UTC

Answer the question

2020-03-11 20:19:06 UTC

Unless you live in communism, then if you don’t work you get a bullet to the back of the head

2020-03-11 20:19:24 UTC

Communism is having no government

2020-03-11 20:19:29 UTC

2020-03-11 20:19:40 UTC

You're thinking of USSR authoritarian state socialism

2020-03-11 20:19:41 UTC

what

2020-03-11 20:19:42 UTC

lmaooooooooooooo and who enforces not having a government

2020-03-11 20:19:52 UTC

Friedrick Hayek made the case very simply:

Socialism and freedom are NOT compatible.
There is absolutely no difference between the taking away of economic liberty and the taking away of political liberty.
If the government controls the means of production - your ability to live, earn, and feed yourself, they have control over you, and thus will control the political climate. Whoever you vote at that point won't matter.

If you are essentially a tyranny because you have direct control over the people, you can't be voted out.

As they said in the Soviet Union, "We pretended to work, and they pretended to pay us"

2020-03-11 20:19:54 UTC

Lol ok

2020-03-11 20:20:10 UTC

Define socialism @LC

2020-03-11 20:20:28 UTC

Government control over the means of production
