Most conservatives are socially conservative and economically centrist.
economically centrist, free market ?
No, economically conservative as shown in that pic would be considered free market
You are like the third way Christiam. Same politics as Bill Clinton
Bill Clinton is a hedonist loser. I'm not going to commend that loser.
There is only a small minority of people who call themselves "economically conservative" and even fewer people who call themselves "socially liberal, economically conservative". This was pretty apparent with Trump's election, he represented the triumph of state conservatism over the libertarian part.
Considering the Republican party was heavily influenced by the Kochs and other libertarian sub-types, it doesn't surprise me that they used to support semi-open borders.
Koch’s were neocons
They wanted free labor from Mexico
Trump pushed them out of party and now they’ve overtaken democrats
Beto is great example. He is a Koch protege
They were neocons. I can't say much or I'll get booted, but what I will say is that the free-market ultimately seeks profit, and sometimes profitable things include outsourcing/mass-migration.
So there must be restrictions, but obviously not too much, which explains my economic centrism.
We shouldn’t be allowed to outsource to countries with actual slave labor though. Otherwise we are slaves ourselves.
Outright restricting them isn’t as effective as incentivizing them to stay here.
If we lowered the tax rate, deregulated and promised them incentives, we'd only be losing tax revenue. Labor costs are way lower in China, a small percent change in taxes isn't going to make them come back.
Only in the short term
Lower tax rates don’t have to cause lower tax revenue
