A simple question/discussion that only relates to exactly the topic (no insults) gets me told to calm down. Bizarre.

2020-03-27 21:39:20 UTC

Good afternoon, John.

2020-03-27 21:39:29 UTC

Suh

2020-03-27 21:40:21 UTC

@Kako Is wherever you're at in mandatory quarantine?

2020-03-27 21:40:33 UTC

I am currently at work.

2020-03-27 21:40:49 UTC

I would like to go home 😦

2020-03-27 21:41:03 UTC

Canada in my province is on the verge of mandatory quarantine. We got told today if you left the province at any point recently for any amount of time to go anywhere you must legally self quarantine.

2020-03-27 21:41:18 UTC

Canadian huh

2020-03-27 21:41:30 UTC

Even if you just stepped across the border for a smoke. Yeah, 'sorry town'.

2020-03-27 21:41:34 UTC

Where do you reside in America’s Hat?

2020-03-27 21:41:52 UTC

In the drip. I'm right beside the border in Ontario.

2020-03-27 21:42:09 UTC

Lake Ontario / Lake Erie, between them

2020-03-27 21:43:13 UTC

I think i might have the virus

2020-03-27 21:43:19 UTC

I think that’s a decent part of Canada

2020-03-27 21:43:34 UTC

Me too *coof coof*

2020-03-27 21:43:39 UTC

same

2020-03-27 21:43:43 UTC

Good Canadians are appreciated

2020-03-27 21:43:55 UTC

Ehhh, its alright. Toronto and surrounding area is what got Trudeau re-elected.

2020-03-27 21:44:20 UTC

The price of gun range membership here is 450~ a year. If that gives you an idea of the pressure on conservatives here.

2020-03-27 21:44:27 UTC

i feel like shit man

2020-03-27 21:44:33 UTC

I have a friend from Toronto, we make fun of Canada often. “Canadian Tire” is one of our favorite targets

2020-03-27 21:44:43 UTC

my head is all fucked up

2020-03-27 21:44:45 UTC

I worked for Canadian Tire once, they fired my ass.

2020-03-27 21:45:01 UTC

It was deserved but it was because I wouldn't lie to people.

2020-03-27 21:45:05 UTC

Canadian Tire sounds absurdly silly lol

2020-03-27 21:45:44 UTC

Also half of your government is appointed by the General whatever who is appointed by the Queen?

2020-03-27 21:46:59 UTC

Two things happened. A customer was trying to buy a rifle and the bolt handle was rusty. I agreed with the customer and told my boss we should give him a discount. Got reprimanded. Second one was a mother coming in to buy hockey skates for her son (I lived in a very blue collar area at the time) and I explained she should go with used skates till he stops growing and not buy the expensive shit new. Little did I know my boss was down the aisle over her shoulder, bitch leaned out and gave me neck cutting motion. That was the last straw.

2020-03-27 21:47:47 UTC

Canada is full of scum bags, honestly. We are 'polite' but actually inside a lot more selfish than Americans.

2020-03-27 21:47:49 UTC

Canadian Tire is a retarded company

2020-03-27 21:48:55 UTC

Abso-lutely

2020-03-27 21:49:42 UTC

Apparently your national postal system is basically controlled by Amazon

2020-03-27 21:50:04 UTC

Mmmm. Our post is government owned as far as I know, but it ships mostly amazon packages lol.

2020-03-27 21:50:20 UTC

Our postal system kicks the shit out of USPS but its still not great

2020-03-27 21:50:31 UTC

My Canadian friend, if what he says is correct, describes the Canadian economy as mostly being American influenced

2020-03-27 21:50:41 UTC

It's true

2020-03-27 21:50:44 UTC

Our dollar went to shit after the Corona hit.

"The Republican party, as we noted at the beginning of the book, is an insurgent outlier. It has become ideologically extreme; contemptuous of the inherited social and economic policy regime; scornful of compromise; unpersuaded by conventional understanding of facts, evidence, and science; and dismissive of the legitimacy of its political opposition, all but declaring war on the government. The Democratic party, while no paragon of civic virtue, is more ideologically centered and diverse, protective of the government's role as it developed over the course of the last century, open to incremental changes in policy fashioned through bargaining with the Republicans, and less disposed to or adept at take-no-prisoners conflict between parties. This is asymmetry between the parties, which journalists and scholars often brush aside or whitewash in a quest for "balance", constitutes a huge obstacle to effective governance." - Norm Ornstein Political Scientist, Non biased, ranked 100 top minds.

Something like 40% of the economy of Ontario is directly dependent on trade with the US
