honestly, if were actually warring, i would carry a semi-auto primary and a bolt action secondary. that is, if i'm kinda doing legit war shiz. but i would hope to be hooked up with buddies to cover my back while i'm out picking onions

a suppressed .22 bolt gun would be one of the best things you could carry in the boog

almost silent, easy to carry tons of ammo, super reliable, it would be super handy for harvesting food

i'd probably stick to a 10/22, myself

i can engage hostiles at close range with it

i like my 10/22s but they're just not as reliable as i'd like

i've never seen one have a problem, but ymmv

might be cause mine is completely worn out, i've got like 50k rounds through it, but really anything semi in .22 is prone to stovepipes and misfeeds, and the 10/22s aren't an exception from my experience

and normally i'll have higher rate of fire. bolt action in .22 is just something that has never interested me b/c of slowness and that you're already close to the game with .22lr anyway

well, it's not that it hasn't interested me, but when i decide between one of those and another gun, i usually choose another gun for purchase

as my son gets older, i might get one if i haven't already

I mostly hunt hog with a ar-15 so I can drop 30 of em easy in 2min or less. Or use a 22 for rabbits and such

for 30-06, i would want an older gun, i think

I have a really old 410 shotgun

i can't eat hog due to relgious reason (unless i am gonna die without it), but i could totally whack a deer in the boog and feed the family!
