No, its impossible.
Capitalism promises everyone a good time
Paris is in a state of anarchy every few months
When the good times run out
The system will collapse
Three billion migrants are on the way by the end of the century
WHAT DO YOU THINK THIS ALL MEANS?
People will choose to do it politically, war is so hated in the US even if it's small
Do you honestly believe that?
Yes.
I don't understand where you're coming from.
What reality do you live in?
After how much the vietnam war was despised, and public opinion on fighting in the middle east, i can't fathom public opinion of mass civil war in our borders to be very high
Why do you think public opinion matters when at most 5% of the population will be doing the actual fighting?
Of course nobody likes a civil war.
But they still happen.
5% is over 18,000,000 people
The US despised conflicts that was less than 1/18th that numbet
You're still implying that public opinion matters.
It does when the publicis the ones that fight
There are currently 1.5 million active men and women in the US military. For 5% to be fighting, 16.5 million people would have to join in 1 of the several factions that would arise
Keep in mind:
-this isn't happening tomorrow
-30 years from now is the soonest conceivable date
-South Africa, France, and perhaps more European countries will already have fallen to civil disorder
-the country will be minority white
-many nonwhites will try to blame whites for their struggles (see every minority-white nonasian country)
-the government and military will be full of radical leftists and nonwhites
-military will split and become ineffective
-civil disorder will grip the nation
-the country fragments along ethnic lines
-war ensues
The percentage doesn't matter. It's not important.
The fact is that civil disorder is going to occur
And the government will be unable and unwilling to stop it.
I see it happening in less than 20 years
If we are going to get into predictions multiple decades down the road, then the discussion turns to theoretical speculation
But, in 30 years i dtoll believe that public opinion of fighting will be still very low. Maybe even worse than now. A right wimg political amd cultural shift seems more likely, one that prevents the barbarian masses from flooding in.
Trump is not forever.
Even with the wall, he will not be able to reverse the demographic shift.
Every election cycle, things will be harder for us.
Reform will not happen.
>public opinion
Literally why do you keep mentioning this?
Take an opinion poll in Syria or Sudan.
Or Somalia
Do you think >50% wants the civil war to continue in those places?
NOBODY LIKES CIVIL WARS
OPINION DOESN'T MATTER
People are driven to fight *despite wanting peace*
@Grim - CA It will happen sooner if the debt bubble is as big as some doomsayers think.
But opinion DOES matter in a civil war, opinion is what leads to it in the first place
No. Disillusionment and social incohesion is what leads to it.
Both are growing in the US.
Along with political polarization and radicalization.
