Stumbled over this. Seems fitting here

depends on terminology, if using military terminology then a firearm is an offensive weapon, never defensive, as defensive refers to things like smokescreens, mines, and so on. More commonly of course, for personal protection, a firearm is defensive
I don't think the kraut was well versed enough to make such a distinction
you'd be surprised how Anal krauts can be about terminology, but of course I don't know this guy
My God that part about the bump stocks made my blood boil @4AM_critter 🐉

Well he can count on losing my business and I am not even an NRA member.
Good lord
Marvel is really all in on the "Pirate our movies" bandwagon lately
It's kinda strange tbh.
those fucks and their "Constitution lets us buy weapons"
the police have shown to be 100% upstanding
so let them have all the guns <:blobcatthinkingsmirk:363029138094948352>
"ian is of course in Narnia" X-D
I come here expecting intellectual discussion about firearms. History, talk about preferences, etc.
gun go pew pew
very hurty
Instead, I find rednecks circlejerking over their gun-control memes...
Who take very extreme stances...too extreme for even the NRA to support.
>inb4 someone rants about NRA fudds
The NRA helped get bump stocks banned and supported the NFA and GCA lol
yea, NRA is weak on guns
The NRA is a pretty shit gun rights organization and they involve themselves with republican politics that have nothing to do with guns
i see good coming from the bump stock ban, namely, it'd give trump the ability to say he'd "passed gun control" or something and get some of those people on his side, and it'd result in a court battle (hopefully) resulting in a "bump stock bans are unconstitutional" result for those states that had already banned them
I doubt there's anyone out there willing to change their mind on trump for banning bump stocks
Also i doubt that a bump stock ban will be ruled unconstitutional, the ruling itself will just be struck down on claiming that bump stocks are machine guns(they don't fit the legal definition of one, trigger is pulled with every round fired)
Congress could still pass a bump stock ban and states could keep their existing ones
The real thing to be challenged is the hughes amendment imo, bump stocks have no place for militia use but machine guns certainly do
But the hughes amendment will never get struck down imo, people are too scared of machine guns and the ban has been around for too long
