im trying to find the origin of this castration conversation just to figure out what its actually about

2018-05-17 18:53:39 UTC

First it came up in recent memory was in a conversation with a dyslexic natsoc promoting eugenics.

2018-05-17 18:54:55 UTC

'Eugenicist, castrate thyself.'

2018-05-17 18:54:57 UTC

weird fetishes these ethnonationalists have

2018-05-17 18:56:01 UTC

There is no fun without nonsense

2018-05-17 19:00:38 UTC

this just isint really a good punishment for a government system to hand out, lowers your lifespan unless you take hormone suppliments because both testosterone and estrogen are vital chemicals in the natural homeostasus of humans. additionally it doesent stop the problem it only stops repeat offences, has no consiterations for the psychological effects that could lead to creating worse behavure. and it doesent stop first offences just like the death penalty doesent stop first offences

2018-05-17 19:00:38 UTC

You seem to be rather invested in this topic, Neja, what's your interest?

2018-05-17 19:02:14 UTC

doesent really work with the idea of creating productive members of society

2018-05-17 19:04:23 UTC

The crux of the argument the person I was debating the matter with was one of genetic fatalism.

2018-05-17 19:04:38 UTC

@RyeNorth I'm what the neomarxists would call "TrueScum".
MtF with the real issue and a deep interest in the science of this crap because I wanted for life of me understand this crap and find a different solution

2018-05-17 19:05:19 UTC

They were saying that criminality is genetic. Their intent wasn't to rehabilitate, it was to eliminate faulty genes.

2018-05-17 19:06:50 UTC

i kinda think then if they were saying "castration" and "chemical" they were using code of zyclon b

2018-05-17 19:07:32 UTC

I was politically active for the past ten years, party work; we were very science/facts oriented back then, until the activists and other corrupt and corrupting people flooded the fun and then you get accused of and being dismissed as just another white cis male who wouldn't understand the problems of transgenders (transtrenders without dysphoria), while they just didn't know that you had the real issue, just didn't tell anyone... but I digress. Rough enough background?

2018-05-17 19:09:16 UTC

I mean, nobody here really counts oppression points, that's not what I was getting at.

2018-05-17 19:09:25 UTC

But yeah, it clarifies why the topic seems to touch a nerve.

2018-05-17 19:09:33 UTC

"criminality *is* genetic" is the phrasing that leads to dangerous legislation by dumb people and tyrants alike. That there're hereditary components to criminality is the more precise phrasing. Having hereditary markers doesn't mean that they manifest themselves. Like Psychopathy, which also has hereditary, genetic, elements to it, it does need to be "triggered" to take effect.

2018-05-17 19:10:12 UTC

Well, the genes that they're looking at refer to 'violent tendencies'.

2018-05-17 19:10:23 UTC

The thing is, violence can manifest itself in multiple ways.

2018-05-17 19:10:52 UTC

When you think of violence, you think of assault, murder, things like that

2018-05-17 19:11:51 UTC

you Racist cause you like Racing Games

2018-05-17 19:11:54 UTC

Eh, I'm not here for oppression points, to the contrary. It was just really eye-opening to be accused of something based on the fact that I merely asked questions about retarded positions like "We want to give the trans extra bathrooms!" - Why? To make them feel more excluded, like they're invalids and need a special handicapped bathrooms, while actually they might just want to be treated normal and not even be noticed? - you get the transphobe label for that. I asked back then if they even asked transsexuals, and that was the worst trigger for them.

2018-05-17 19:13:39 UTC

the bathroom issue has always been weird to me. no one stands infront of a bathroom checking your drivers loisence

2018-05-17 19:13:42 UTC

I know that's the truth. In general, unless someone's trying to actively prove a point, they generally just want to be left alone.

2018-05-17 19:13:58 UTC

there's a huge chasm between those who want to get extra special treatment all the time, and the least of them have actual gender dysphoria; and the ones who just want to live a "normal as much" life and go unnoticed. the latter just don't sacrifice their functioning life where noone knows they're trans. Because why the fuck would you tell that to anyone but the inevitable closest ones?

2018-05-17 19:15:00 UTC

I know way too many of the "in hiding" (for lack of a better word atm), transsexuals, to believe in any way that all these loudmouths have anything profound to say about us, much less speak for us

2018-05-17 19:17:31 UTC

it does kinda bug me to be refered to as having a mental disorder though

2018-05-17 19:17:36 UTC

there's a really good statement about all of that by Jordan B Peterson actually, in an interview from summer last year. I name that because he basically regurgitates what I (and probably some of the others who wrote him) wrote to him regarding that issue, just in a more sophisticated and concise manner. Was really lifting a weight off my shoulders to hear that

2018-05-17 19:18:49 UTC

well, yeah... @Arch-Fiend It is certainly an anomaly at least, and it causes problems. To find less unnerving terminology for that, is a side issue to me... I'm already autistic, and had to learn to cope with that so 😛

2018-05-17 19:19:25 UTC

I think it was somewhere around the middle of this interview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YC1pvjyKYr4 But I'm not sure

2018-05-17 19:19:57 UTC

I mean, "Mental Disorder" is pretty watered down

2018-05-17 19:20:14 UTC

Considering that it can be anything from ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, Schitzophrenia

2018-05-17 19:20:26 UTC

well to me ive never had a negitive experince with it. though ive remained hidden so far. but in having never had a negitive experince i have a juxtiposition when its refered to as a disorder because my life feels more order this way

2018-05-17 19:20:42 UTC

yeah... I understand the term as "some neuronal parts are fucking some things up", which is true for most people actually 😉 In this case some parts of the brain just... decided to develop into the wrong direction

2018-05-17 19:21:04 UTC

It kind of comes down to just differences.

2018-05-17 19:21:07 UTC

technically it IS the brain that's wrong, because the body just follows the genetic blueprint. Brain development, sadly, isn't just bound to that though

2018-05-17 19:21:43 UTC

I've got ADHD and OCD (which, for the most part, I control and use as tools)

2018-05-17 19:22:57 UTC

So, I mean, having a psychologist call things disorders is one thing.

2018-05-17 19:23:10 UTC

It's a completely different thing when someone starts using the term politically.

2018-05-17 19:23:11 UTC

A good friend of mine, one of the first people I told about my issue, surprised me with him having it too, just that he never told anyone. is the best family father i've met. and the awesomeness of his family (which is some luck too of course) really balances that out

2018-05-17 19:23:15 UTC

hey, if the dysphoria isn't plagueing you too much really, I'd suggest trying the non-transitional route in life <.<" a functioning loving family can alleviate a lot of the subtle pain the dysphoria causes

2018-05-17 19:23:34 UTC

my message didint get through
